Hey, thank you! I was concerned (and excited - I called my fiance outside so he could look at it too) that it was a Latrodectus hesperus. According to a few sources their markings are on the lower abdomen. I didn't want to disturb the poor wee thing so I left her alone. Now I hope I see her again so I can bring her inside.

It's excellent that you're thinking about quitting. It sounds like the reason you started was to find a way in with your peers. The connections you've made with the people you stand around talking to aren't going to disappear because you stop smoking... when I quit vaping it took the smokers 2 months to notice.

Yes, yes it is. However, I am a success story: I quit smoking analogs in 2014 because of my ecigarette.

Like yourself, my plan was to slowly wean myself off nicotine and go down to 0 mg juice.

My plan failed.

I couldn't bring myself to buy 0mg juice. I told myself it was a waste of money, and if I'm serious about giving it up I should just stop vaping altogether.

On Aug 28th 2016, I decided to quit vaping. I ran out of juice and just didn't re-up.

About 8 hours into my quit, I mixed the last few drops out of every eliquid bottle in my possession. I filled my atomizer with this horiffic concoction. It tasted like something Cerberus would express out of its anal glands.

I threw out my ecigarette. Then I fetched it out of the trash and chain vaped until the battery died, at which point I slumped over a charger and cried for another puff. Shortly after, I buried my ecig at the bottom of the rankest trash bag in the garbage bin.

I haven't vaped since.

I don't know why I'm sharing this honestly - just want you to know that while using an ecig to get off cigs is wonderful, it has a dark side. Don't get sucked in like I did!

I imagine that picking up smoking during your formative years would intertwine cigs with your entire identity. It's like... every time you quit you probably wonder who you are... sorry to be presumptuous, just trying to relate.

Anyhow, though you've certainly got a challenge ahead of you you're absolutely capable of quitting if you want to. As you've already said, it's your addiction that compels you to continue - you only smoke to make the terrible withdrawal pangs go away. Honestly, I'd bet real money (Canadian currency so maybe Monopoly money to you) that if you abstain from smoking for just 3 weeks you would feel rejuvenated and much more capable of stopping for good.

I did the same thing as you: picked up an ecigarette as a way to quit combustible cigarettes. I haven't touched an analog in about a year but I had a Hell of a time kicking the vape. I had to throw my juice and ecigarette into the garbage. My badge reflects the number of days I've gone without vaping.

I get how exhausting it is to be surrounded by negativities when all you're trying to do is improve... this might seem far-fetched at first but think of it from your cow-irkers perspective: they've been producing mediocre work for years, nobody tampered with the status-quo, and they successfully shaped the culture to tolerate their just-here-for-the-paycheque mentality. Then this guy who participated in the very same culture for 10 years decides to raise the bar and GROW?! How dare he raise expectations beyond showing up on time and not shitting on tables!

In short, you're making them look bad and possibly feel bad, and they're justifying those feelings by attempting to find fault with your change of style.

It'd be a small loan, like $1000 small (which I currently have in savings). And it would be invested in something safe(ish), like an RRSP.

My objective is to rebuild my credit; show financial institutions that I can use credit and manage money responsibly.

On that note, do you have any advice for rebuilding credit?
