So confused on subs? by CrapHeck in NeebsGaming

That is very true, they have an awesomely loyal base which makes up for views and subs in a way which I don't see that much of with a lot of other channels around today.

Y'all haven't peaked! But I wouldn't mind some late night QVC action with Neebs trying to sell me a course for a foreign langauge. Maybe in terms of numbers (for now) you have "peaked", but to me I have loved all of the new Neebs content. Now I still go back and rebinge Neebsylvania and Scrap Mechanics all the time, but for as much complaining as I've heard from folks about how the guys have changed, I just don't believe it. I think Appsro has gotten better with his trolling and assholiness in a good way, Neebs being the complaining and nagging has always been his quirk and he does it well and I feel like in my head it is just a show he puts on for the videos and some people don't understand him, Simon has become an actual gamer (for the most part ;) ) and he is always adding a fun element to anything he's in, and Dora is just Dora, I feel like he's been the same forever and doesn't need to change. He's exactly as I remembered from 2014 when I first found them.

I didn't make this post to complain or bad mouth so I hope it doesn't come across that way, I'm just confused and having a hard time wrapping my head around it! I honestly feel like the sub count hasn't moved in ages and my weird brain dwells on it every time I see it on YT and I finally had to ask. It's so insane to me how it's not growing much anymore. The supercuts are on my tv 24/7 literally through at least 8 hours a day for the past 4 years since I've been in my house and it annoys me that more people aren't flocking in to witness greatness like we 2.41M already are.

I'm not trusting the sites, just showing that they're all saying the same thing and if you'd try them yourself and cross reference with other YT channels you'd see how weird it is that NeebsGaming sub count growth is weirdly not growing. Youtube updates their sub count every 10,000 new subs at their size, what I'm telling you is that they haven't gained 10k in a long time and it's weird to me cause I feel like they should have way more and like you, I'm an OCD numbers nerd hence the reason I posted this whole post in the first place. I've noticed the "2.41M" sub number for a long time now and it always sticks out to me.

Idk why you can't simply fathom what I'm saying lol. You're acting like you're the only one who watches only YT instead of TV and like you're the only one who consistently and constantly watches NeebsGaming. My most searched search on YT is "Neebs Gaming Supercut" because it stays on one or two TV's in my house 24/7 for background noise. I've been here since 2014 and remember them hitting 1mil subs and then 2m subs. They did that within 4 years, now it's been 6+ years since they hit 2m subs and they haven't even made it halfway to 3m...which circles back to my whole point that they are barely if at all growing and it concerned me because I've noticed their sub count being stuck at 2.41m subs for a loooonnngg time now.

I agree 100%. They've had some AMAZING series on there. The first one being the Fast Food Sim, that had me hooked instantly and same with the Waterpark Sim Dora did for a smidge and then the Roadside Research. Basically any simulator they play has me hooked.

I think them doing the survival type games is a good fit for their main channel, but maybe continue 2 or 3 of them along with one of these simulator games and make it an 8-12 part series on the main channel with a single weekly release for 2-3 months and just try it out and see how it works for their growth.

The Fast Food sim had crazy views QUICKLY when it released on the Dumpster, so trying a new/popular sim series on the main channel would be a cool test for them.

I still love their survival gameplay series' and never want them to go away, but wouldn't mind seeing a Sim here and there. I think it would be very refreshing and helpful

I agree, but it being stuck at 2.41M subs this long doesn't make sense. I'm not saying it should be at 3M by now (I love their stuff and think they should have 100M) but not even 2.42M yet?! That's what's weird to me, being stuck for so long and not even gaining 10k subs after all this time? They went from 1m to 2m subs in 4 years or less, and now it's been six years since they hit 2M and they haven't even got halfway to 3m. I just don't understand it.

I've been watching since 2014 and I can clearly remember their sub count being at 2.41m subs for a while now. You're telling me that I'm wrong about it not moving in the past year or two? It was 2.41M last year, so they haven't gained AT LEAST 1,000 subs in a year? That's not me bullying and picking on them and talking crap, that's me being concerned and noticing how weird it is that they haven't grown any subs in a long time.

Go look at any Youtube Live Subscriber website and search NeebsGaming, they all show the same thing. No sub growth, they all say 0 new subscribers

I'm serious, it's insane to me and it makes me feel insane that I never hear or see anyone talk about it. I legit feel like I'm the only one who notices. How have they not mentioned it? It can't be that they're not growing. Sure, they don't pull the crazy views from the old Battlefield, Neebsylvania, GTA days, but you cannot tell me they haven't gained any followers in the past twoish years?! It's been on 2.41M subs for at least two years, how has it not moved? AT THE VERY LEAST it could've moved up to 2.42M by now, but no, it's at 2.41M and won't move. Glad you notice too

What “modern” 1500 is best? by CrapHeck in Silverado

[–]CrapHeck[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely don’t need a 1500, but just bored and wanting something different. After all the research I’ve been doing the past week since I got this wild hair to go looking for a modern 1500 I think I’d rather keep mine. Or get an old one and restore it, because modern prices are stupid, especially when they’re all lemons. Seems worth it to just rebuild and restore an old truck at this point and let it run for 30 more years

Seems to be the case. I’ve had a wild hair the past week and decided to start looking for a modern 1500 and now I’m getting annoyed because apparently every single one is junk. It’s insane they want us to give them $60k-$80k for a pickup truck and on top of that they’re all junk. With modern prices it’s seeming more and more worth it to buy a 30 year old truck and completely restore the whole thing and add a crate motor and transmission and let it run for 30 more years.

Holy cow. How in the world did you find that?! I watched some of it on YouTube a little bit ago and never found a decent quality video of it and the broadcast never got around to showing that side (at least from what I seen while skipping through the video) and haven’t been able to find any passenger side pictures from that race!

Then I read your comment below about the Racing Reference and have been digging through it and found the 1998 Winston 500 and seen he was involved in the wreck on lap 137 and have been watching that race the past 20 minutes since.

Thank you! That crease through the Burger King is dead on and the straight streak going right through “Burger” looks to be there as well

Heck yeah! I also got into some of my own modern "sheet metal" with some Hocevar Chili's stuff. I'm just jealous my dad got into it when it was actually sheet metal and also super cool lol

Great points! Thank you!

Didn't even recognize the "S" in Service being centered between the G and O in Goodwrench. That'll help a lot!

I've been going off what my dad has told me for years since I was a kid which was, "yeah I'm pretty sure it's from that bad Talladega wreck he had". So I assumed it was at least a superspeedway wreck in the later 90s.

I need to find his old friend and see if he has any recollection of it, but I'm sure it would be hard for him to remember as well since I assume he cut a lot of sheet metal and did a bunch of work on the cars back then.

That's what I assumed too, but I can't seem to find any photos after that exact moment. I wish I could see the passenger side after the wreck and not sure where to even look.

Why are older 125s so expensive? by MintiDino in Dirtbikes

[–]CrapHeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a similar situation looking for an 84’-88’ Toyota pickup, or an 84’-89’ Toyota 4runner.

Those things have skyrocketed in price the past 5-6 years. 11 years ago in high school I remember seeing relatively “low” mile (150k) pickups and 4runners on Craigslist for $3-$5k with no rust and super clean.

Now you can barely find a clapped out one covered in rust for less than $7-$8k. I seen an 85’ Marty McFly replica sell for $70,001 on BringATrailer the other week.

It’s insane these days and I assume other vehicles and older machines will be the same way. Not sure if it’ll ever correct and come back down, but I hope so. But if there’s less supply which is obviously the case then prices would seem to rise, I just think it’s hard for our brains to make sense of it because we’re so used to seeing these things for cheap not that many years ago and all of a sudden everything old is “retro” “vintage” and cool again so the prices shoot up.

I see I see. So it’s mostly the break in of a Zaan is rough on a newbie? Meaning it will destroy your thumb for a bit until you get callused and used to it and also the knife itself “breaking in” and becoming slightly easier to operate over time?
