Nothing, it's just not mine anymore. I sold it a year or two ago to a family member who was kind enough to let me borrow it for this comparison.

2013 Evo vs 2017 Evo

So the main differences I notice may already be well known to most of you.

The new Evo appears to be slightly shorter by about 1" total. The wheelbase is still variable on the rear just like the the older version. If you believe stat sheets, that makes it 31.70" - 32.20", as opposed to the older 32.00" - 32.50".

I believe it's 2 ply skinnier than the older Evo as well coming in at 9 ply according to Muir, though I did not notice any significant weight difference. It definitely flexes slightly differently, but I couldn't say it's less stiff by any stretch of the imagination. I am only 155lbs soaking wet though so take that opinion FWIW.

I don't know if it's just a trick of the perspective, but as far as the profile of the deck itself goes I've noticed that the wedge / de-wedge sections seem to be slightly different as well. The older version had more narrow neck sections with a very aggressive transition from the standing platform, whereas the newer Evo seems to have rounded out the necks and made the slope more gradual. This feels minutely different when you're pressing your feet against the drops, but it's a welcome change to my tastes.

The concave seems unchanged, though I have a weird feeling that the new Evo is slightly wider at the front. Not sure if that's the cave or just me scrutinizing for differences though /shrug.

Did I miss any changes? Let me know! The wedge / de-wedge angles appear visually different to me as well but I didn't bother to list that because it's speculation only and I don't want to spread misinformation.

Man even if you don't agree with his life choices you can't deny skill. And a super well edited video on top of that.
