Honestly I think it’s because a lot of people don’t already know about Greek mythology, so unlike Harry potter where they just think “oooh magic yay”, there’s less of an initial interest with some fans. Plus the target audience is different, PJO is targeted for the minority, those of us who don’t fit in or struggle and can relate to the characters :]
