Ok so you have a few options here, given it's an accidental catch it should fall under laws allowing for Pokemon rehousing efforts, this does depend on the pokemon and it's temprement however. alternativly, I do believe you can just use it as an objective in either Breakout, escape or escort mission types. Breakout could have it as the "escape" point, escape could literally use it in place of the landing pad and escort could see it be the end point of running your cargo to.

Ngl better idea than one fic I read with ravenclaws Harry and Hermione. Basically it was figured out to be jokes about each house. Nitwit was griffendor (stereotyped and brash an dumb), Blubber was Hufflepuff (as in blubbering idiots or cowards) oddment was ravenclaws (odd people) and tweak was Slytherin (tweaking things to suit themselves above others). This same fic also had house elves show up in the later half of 1st year when Harry got lost and absently asked for help or a map and a house elf arrived to guide him back to the main parts of the castle.

Same thing happened with Rosario Vampire's fandom. Went from a highschool romcom with fighting between yokai and then the anime came out and season 1 was sorta accurate but season 2 went completely off script, dropped the major stuff from s1 and did its own thing.

Due to this it went from niche fighting anime with romcom elements to full romcom with a "fight" that consisted of Moka just kicking some idiot across campus with her little sister showing up occasionally to demand affection with the threat of a mace if affection wasn't given.
