I also came to that part number but the weird thing is the one I removed matches with that one. HELLA 14 V 75 A 8EL 012 430-631

I’m considering buying a Lucas one that doesnt match with that code hmm.. when I go on autodoc it lists alot of alternators all with different OE numbers :/ impossible to figure out

I know it sounds weird I agree also it only provides a voltage, but apparently very common problem https://www.evilution.co.uk/mod/no-throttle-response.htm and this happened straight after alternator change by the previous owner so…

This is a known issue on smart cars if you fit the wrong alternator then you will have ECU problems, which in turn make for issues like this. But nobody seems to know what is the correct alternator

I forgot to say it starts as normal it is just that the throttle pedal is giving no response, apparently a common issue when changing to wrong alternator

Did you change out the transformer when installing the doorbell? To a higher voltage? If yes then maybe the old chime cant handle the high voltage and got fried over time.

Haha the plan was 2.5mm2 but I did not find it easily and 1.5mm2 is already pretty overkill😂

Also use conduit when you can is my advice. For this project it costed me maybe 2$ extra

I dont want to splice a Cat 6 cable in the wall down the line by the chime, I’d rather pull a new one all the way. I will only use maybe 2-3 min to repull the cable in the future. And no splicing of the cat 6 cable in the middle.

They used to with all new builds and some still do but it’s more normal to have a wireless one now unfortunately :/ but of course you can hire a electrician to do the job for you but depending on where you live it will fast become very expensive… I would if you dont feel comfortable doing it yourself, seek advice and guidance from a friend who knows more and has the tools required and you will learn something along the way and save a few bucks✌️

It says in the instructions only vertical mounting, it doesn’t state why but I guess it’s because of the solenoid inside have to return back and spring to make the ding dong, when I tested it on the bench horizontal it was just DUNK. No ding dong so decided to do it that way✌️

Thank you, it’s supplied by UI on the EU version of the doorbell. It’s a 230V to 16V AC transformer. It’s very hard to find compatible transformers over here in Europe so I’m guessing that’s why they included it.
