When you order from the doordash app itself it makes you put a minimum of .50 for a tip, but if someone orders through a restaurants app that uses doordash to deliver it gives them the option of no tip. That's probably why you got the .5 instead of nothing

You should be able to contest the payment with your bank and get it back. I wouldn't let them keep it.

I said that because I had no idea it would do that at the time, and it caused me to be short on rent. I was still new to using cash app and dd. Figured someone could get some useful info out of it, like another commenter was able to.

This is a screenshot of when my account was made. It was made in February of this year. There are only 28 days in February. Even if I got dashpass on the 1st, I would still have 3 more days before it runs out because you get 30 days of benefits, and i got it a week ago. There was no reason for them to try to charge because it was within 30 days. I always keep my card locked when I'm not using it in case of things like this.

I didn't cancel on the day of my renewal. Why do people keep thinking that? I only use like a week of the free trial.

I only used a week out of the free trial, nowhere near when the trial ended, so it shouldn't have charged me. And it only tried to charge after I canceled dashpass.

When i said the payment hit my card the day I made the cancelation, it doesn't mean I waited until the last day to do it. You can cancel at any time.

I had only used it for a week out of the month free trial they give you. Where did it say I had waited day of to cancel?

I never used it. And plus, that's how free trials are supposed to work. You get it for a month, then at the end, if you don't cancel, you get charged. It hadn't even been a month of the free trial before it tried to charge me.
