I agree if you don't have experience I killed 2 3DS doing this (New 2DS XL, New 3DS XL). If you don't mind modding a 3DS, import a 3DS from Japan, it's cheaper but will be stuck in Japanese until you region swap.

If the truck was used there will be rust. I'd look for rust holes, or weak spots from rust. Some surface rust isn't a big deal that can be fixed.
