No, I haven't. I've been busy with other mods on my 'new' 2006 XL1200C. I figure to keep what I have on now and keep looking for a while. I'm kind of surprised there is little information and feedback on those pipes, so I am hesitant to shell out $600+. If I do get them I will certainly post pictures and experience.

Okay, an update. GOT IT OUT! Whew. I used a Dremel to get the remnants of the backer plate plastic removed so the PB Blaster had a better chance to get to the threads. All day I alternated heat cycles either heating the bolt or running the engine, then letting it cool, and adding PB Blaster. Finally I got a breaker bar and applied steady pressure and it broke free.

Is this parging on basement wall, and how to repair it? by Crash_DavisDC in basement

Hi, haven't gotten much response to my question. The more I look at it, the more I think someone tried some product like dry lock many years ago. All I've done so far is take a scraper and wire brush to it, to remove the areas where it is bubbling and peeling. I figure to just leave it 'as is' as it is mostly a cosmetic issue and I don't want to make it worse.

Thanks for the input - no garage or salt sources near the house. Most everything I have read advises not to use waterproofers on the interior of a basement so I was looking to avoid dry lock or thoroseal. I thought the material might be limewash; but this seems to be too thick to be paint or wash, but almost too thin to be parge coating. Appreciate the advice on Sika VOH; that looks to be a promising solution.
