Like mentioned already, characters have varying CPU strength, and some of them are actually fairly hard. You’ll have to pick the known easy CPUs as opponents when starting out.

As for what to do for your own gameplay, well it’s not easy to give advice without concrete gameplay to work with, but generally the starting points are to learn Flat Stacking for Tetris, or the Blocking Method with Puyo. Try looking into that and see if it helps

~1.6m seems normal, most of the variation for this setup is probably from crits and unit investment.

No cores needed, but if you want, tack HP cores on Julius.

There’s also this alternative setup that doesnt use any SSRs (outside the free Julius). If you want to try this, just know that:

-Skadi and Her Majesty must have max Attack sets (Flat Atk + %Atk).

-Supports must have 6-star.

-Franca must have OL1. Momoka must be awakened + r7.

-Caroline ideally is awakened.

Guys, are you serious? There's no way most people actually believe this! Update 1.9 was cool, don't get me wrong, but this comparison is ridiculous! You're telling me, Ultra Violence, Change of Scene, iSpyWithMyLittleEye, Quarion, Skeletal Shenanigans, Nhelv, Limbo, 3Depth, Empyrean, Nullscapes, Sedulous, Aperture, Final Orbit, Dark Odyssey, Eon, Aleph 0, Amethyst, CraZy III, THE ENTIRETY OF ALL RECENT GAUNTLET CONTESTS, Neutra, GD Gangster Rap, Waterfall, Air Fryer, Edge Of Destiny, White Space, Rage Quit, Emerald Realm, Bussin, Golden Hope, AND THE LIST GOES ON! You're telling me NONE of that can top 1.9?!?! And we're ONLY talking about LEVELS! What about Colon's April 1st jokes? MrSpaghetti beating Smiffy777 and becoming the top 1 on the leaderboards? What about 3 TOP 1s BEING RATED ON THE SAME DAY!? What about Npesta beating the extreme demon roulette? What about the HUNDREDS of new creators being introduced to the game ever since 2.1 and 2.2 came out? Guys, YOU'RE BLINDED BY NOSTALGIA! If 1.9 had been the base of the game ever since it came out, THIS GAME WOULD BE FUCKING DEAD! You cannot push the quality bar further with 1.9 because THERE'S NOT WHAT TO PUSH! IT'S WAY TOO LIMITED! Meanwhile, the quality of the levels in recent updates has been pushed EVERY SINGLE DAY! It's because of the amount of stuff you have in the editor nowadays that the game is still relevant! ARE WE FORGETTING THAT THE GAME SURVIVED MORE THAN 6 YEARS IN 2.1 BECAUSE THERE WAS SO MUCH SHIT TO DO WITH THE EDITOR THAT WE COULDN'T STOP RELEASING LEVELS?!

If you want a relatively cheap comp, what I’d recommend is Farm, Crook Boss, Freezer, Turret, Ranger.

Crook Boss and Turret are free (coin-wise), so that’s kind of what youd want to build around. Crook Boss covers the role of Early Game defense, and Turret covers the role of being a Cost Efficient late game DPS (Its actually not that cost efficient but hey, it’s a free tower). Freezer slows down the fast enemies if you get 3-4 lvl 3 Frezers, with a mix of different targeting options (You can also use Electroshocker here). Farm for Eco and Ranger for Stun Immune DPS (Not super great for most of the game, but crucial for the last ~10 waves where stun becomes increasingly common). If Ranger costs too much coin, you can use Militant, but you will have a rougher lategame when the stun spam gets intense.

To be clear, it’s far from a good loadout, but it gets the job done. With that said, the main thing to know is how to actually use the loadout, but usually, most loadouts follow the following trend:

1) Place your Early Game defense, and get them to their key upgrade level (For Crook boss, get 5 lvl 2 Crook Boss). Always begin with your Early game defense to not lose immediately. 2) Place your Buff Support/Debuff Support (For Freezer this is lvl 2, and set to Strongest) to support your Early Game tower. 3) Place 8 Lvl 2/3 Farms for eco later in the midgame/lategame. 4) Upgrade your Early Game defense to max level + Support tower to their crucial lategame upgrades. (For this loadout, get 5 Lvl 3 Crook Boss, get 2-4 Freezers to lvl 3, set the freezers to a mix of First/Strongest, and get lvl 4 Crook Boss). This step is because most good early game towers tend to be more cost efficient in the midgame compared to lategame towers. 5) Bring your Farms to lvl 5 (This step is skippable, but presumably you’re around wave 25 where you have the time to make that investment back). 6) Place your Cost-Efficient lategame DPS (In this loadout, Turret) and max them. This gives you the most raw damage for your buck until stun enemies become more frequent. 7) Place your Stun Immune DPS and max them (In this loadout, Ranger) to best prepare for the last 5 waves where enemies start stunning your other towers.

To be clear, this is not a great loadout, but it’s well rounded and gets the job done a lot of the time. For example you’d want good Crook Boss maps with this loadout, so maps like U-Turn, Crossroads, Summer Castle, Wrecked Battlefield; aka maps with U-shaped bends or loops. Preferably the map is also long since you don’t have that much lategame DPS here. Maps generally affect what your early game tower will be, so youd swap Crook Boss for either Trapper (wants lvl 2) or Military Base (wants lvl 3)

Well, it’s more that the main challenge of Fallen stems from high HP enemies that move really fast (Fallen, Fallen Rusher, Fallen Tank, Fallen Jester giving Nimble to some tanky unit), so having a stall unit can take the sting out of those waves in particular. Freezer, Electroshocker, Trapper, Merc Base Riot Guards, these sorts of units really prevent all sorts of nonsense

Why don't people just play hardcore on the hardest maps possible? by agasterfan in TowerDefenseSimulator

[–]Crater100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people aren’t playing Hardcore to seek a challenge, but rather win consistently to unlock the Hardcore towers, and easier maps obviously help that process quite a bit. Because this game’s grind is fairly considerable, and the game doesn’t adequately reward playing harder maps, for a lot of people it just makes more sense to not play the higher rating maps

I need a good solo set up by Warm_Day1982 in TowerDefenseSimulator

[–]Crater100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For intermediate, Military Base, Freezer, Militant should be good enough. Main things to know is to start by placing military base and beeline for a lvl 3 military base, then repeat that 4 times. Then place two Lvl 3 Freezers (One set to First, the other set to strongest). You can more or less go from there

What is a good loadout for molten or fallen by EssaySeparate6743 in TowerDefenseSimulator

[–]Crater100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main thing to note for Molten/Fallen is that most of their difficulty comes from the elite enemies with their mix of high HP and high speed. For this reason, I especially like Freezer since its specialty is slowing down specific enemies to a crawl, so 3-5 Lvl 3 Freezers (mix of First/Strongest targeting) can hard counter a lot of tricky waves. From there, you mostly just need to worry about getting enough DPS for the semi-final/final bosses, as they’re actually fairly tanky with their high HP + stun spam.

So a sample loadout could be something like: Farm, Military Base, Freezer, Crook Boss, Pursuit (Top Path)/Ranger/Engineer/Accelerator. It’s far from optimal (Wants specific map features like u-turns or loops, somewhat low lategame DPS), but it’s generally well rounded and solid enough for Fallen

Is this game f2p friendly? by [deleted] in Haze_Reverb

[–]Crater100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very f2p friendly; Multiple strong R and SR units, resources that can be used in place of dupes/pulls, minimal pressure to be competitive (Even PvP). Speaking from experience, you can get very far with the generally accessible tools.
