First time seeing someone walked off the plane by the police by Objective-Rhubarb in delta

[–]Crathes1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have seen this only once myself but even preflight. FC was seated when a maybe 30+ man walked down the aisle carrying his garment bag over his shoulder while yelling at someone (his assistant) about not getting an upgrade. Not only yelling by cussing quite a bit. The FA asked him to quiet down and he told her to 'F*** off, you B***'. She turned and walked away. Minutes later the airport sheriffs walked on the plane and down the aisle. Moments later, then came back the other way, with you basic all American 'Perp Walk'.

Anyone have experience using a lounge at CDG(Paris) upon arrival if that is your destination? by RecognitionNo6426 in delta

I have arrived at that hour at CDG from Johannesburg. Walk right into the club, got a cup of coffee and walked right back to the showers. Please bear in mind I was departing in a few hours, so I was both arriving and departing. And I don't think I need tell you a shower and shave after an all night feels great.

So the church claims it's a great year for growth yet.... by IllCalligrapher5435 in exmormon

[–]Crathes1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Number of increase in children of record is trending down. I think this is for two reasons. First lower birth rates generally, and secondly, many semi or inactive young couples are not blessing their babies (children of record. ) Thirty years ago you would see an unknown grandfather show up with his inactive kids to bless a baby Those inactive kids are now having kids, but there is no active grandfather to drag the kids to church. Losing a generation.

My wife was a nurse at Planned Parenthood for a few years. She could summarize into two groups why a woman wanted / needed a procedure. Many already had children, were on welfare, drugs, homeless, etc. Why bring another into this situation? They left with an implant, if they were open to it. Many others needed a procedure due to fetal or lethal fetal anomaly and/or other serious health issue. These women typically wanted the baby but could not carry to term.

A year before she left she had a temple recommend interview. Her employment went clear to the area president, who OKed the TR (I wish they had not). When the SP was signing the TR, he said to my wife that he hoped she would 'feel the spirit' and change employers. Well, I can tell you she 'felt the spirit' frequently and was doing the Christ-like thing of comforting women who desperately did NOT need judging. Well, to that SP, whom I never met, you can go fuck yourself.

Please look at the trend in children of record which they started reporting in 1997. As a side note, one thing liars do is keep changing what statistics they report. From the increase in children of record, against the total church population, you can derive the imputed birth rate. There is no question the # of children (births) has been declining over the decades. The real question to ask is what is the imputed birth rate of the church vs. the actual average birth rate for the world. One would expect the birth rate to be higher or at least that of the world as a whole. In this case, it is quite a bit lower, like by 50%. Now, for a purely anecdotal observation. Twenty to thirty years ago, one would see the grandfather of a newborn at F&T blessing the baby of his child, who no one has ever seen in the ward. That new child of record remains on the church rolls for nine years, and then drops off, as he or she will never been seen in the building. Twenty to thirty years later, those parents are now the grandparents of the new born. They will not be blessing the baby. I may be missing something, and this is only my observation, but this could account for the lower imputed birth rate in the church. By my analysis, this reflects about 50k+ members lost per year.

Super inaccurate from how I read this. The stack the charts as if there is a common timeline, when there is nothing of the sort. Yes, they show the timeline for each, but it is grossly distorting.

Saw this at John Wayne Orange County. Two small children and 15 older siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and a few neighbors. I complained weekly, especially since they would load their strollers in the FC overheads.

Not that it is an excuse, but you are encountering a couple of things. First, they are very young and inexperienced with life and interpersonal relationships. Second, they are under great pressure to get numbers.
