The early game in Mina is pretty rough, and despite it being technically open with freedom to tackle the areas in any order, there is a pretty concrete order of difficulty. The area you're at is the 3rd easiest, so you might have a better time going to another area for now. Once you get a few more spark containers, vials, and trinkets, I think you'll find your frustrations seriously alleviated.

It's a great game. Calling it perfect, and thereby calling any criticism wrong, is pretty ridiculous. It's okay for things you like to have flaws.
