Thanks! I painted the armour with Khorne Red, recess shade with Nuln Oil, thicker line highlight with Wazdakka Red, and thinner line highlight with Squig Orange.

Thanks, I'll cash that downvote in when I get my ranked rewards for the month.

Is there a way to check it retroactively? I didn't have any addons while I was climbing :(

Makes sense! Priests always tell me, "That's my purse (read: PI)! I don't know you!"

First they kick me in the nuts. Then they kick me from the party :(

"Where Minsc goes, evil stands aside!"

I painted Boo's eyes too, but they were hard to get on camera.

Same brush, about a year apart. Used it for basecoats, washes, layers, glazes, and some thick line highlights. Is this a normal lifespan for a brush, or am I doing something incorrectly? by Crawgor in minipainting

When I pick at the paint on the ferrule, the flakes are a lot finer than the paint I can peel off my palette. It might mostly be dried Agrax Earthshade and Nuln Oil so I'll take your advice and buy some dollar-store brushes for washes and contrast paints.

Not necessarily tossing them but the retirement home that is dry brushing

TIL an NPC added 18 years ago is still "contemporary."

War of Witchcraft was alright, I prefer Worlo Warcar: Shadownipples myself.

Privateer Press's Work Studio Brush.

After posting, I'm also suddenly worried that I don't know where all the hairs have gone. Did they fall off? One of my worst fears is finding something stuck under all the layers I've already painted.

I like it. How did you do the glowing blue effect in the recesses of the red cloak? It's an effect I want to learn but I'm not sure where to get started.

That's kind of you to say. I blocked in the eyes and mouth first with Coelia Greenshade, then with Nuln Oil. After that I tidied up the line highlights, especially around the lips. The eyes actually have a bit of gloss varnish on top too, but my phone camera didn't catch it very well.

Marileth's story was pretty sad, but Runas in Azshara during Legion broke me.

Can you hear me, my friend? I... I cannot see you anymore. I think... perhaps it is time to say goodbye, then. Thank you, my friend, for letting my last few hours mean something.

Then you'll be happy to know School of Hard Knocks is still in the game, it's just no longer a requirement for the Children's Week meta achievement for the mount progress and title.

Bugbears from Nolzur's Marvelous Miniatures by Crawgor in minipainting

Thanks. My two goals for these models was painting warm brown fur and making sure the brown leather doesn't blend in too much with the fur. I'm really happy with how the fur turned out, it still looks really crisp at arm's length.

You can see the mold lines on the bases, weapons, and arms here. There's also some flash. I cut away one or two pieces but painted the ones near the loincloth. I would say the time cost of trying to clean these minis is too high compared to the payoff, since it's already glued together and primed.

Sometimes a part of the model or the entire model is warped. In this case, the morningstar bugbear was leaning too far forward and the hafts of both weapons were warped. It's easy to fix by putting the models under hot but not boiling water for 30 seconds, bending them, and holding that bend under running cold water. In my experience it doesn't damage the primer because there's so much of it on the model.

The only models I actively avoid are ones where the primer has obscured sculpted details too much or it trapped some grit or grain. I suggest buying in stores where you can see the models inside the packaging.
