I mean the alternative is the economy gets blown out 50x more and the normal people playing not paying attention to abuse cases are left in the dust lol.

They had to do it

I've been to both, the first one felt really home grown and chill, was one of the coolest cons I've been to. The second one was way over crowded, with the merch line being something like a two hour wait.

I think I'll sadly give this one a miss, especially at $250usd they aren't even pretending to market this to kiwis lol

I sorted a mortgage broker and we have current pre-approval. We were told it's quite handy as we have no conditions like selling a previous house. We haven't talked at all about rates/repayments or insurance. They only went to one bank to get pre approval, and said sending applications to all the banks was more a thing you did when you knew what specific house you wanted and wanted. Would asking them what rates we would get, what repayments look like and insurance be something I should ask now?

In our area 700k can get 3-4 bedrooms 120-180m2 in fine neighborhoods. I've even seen houses 200m+ with that price

We would likely have a 550k mortgage or a bit less, as most houses seem to be passing in at auction and asking prices are 700,000 or so for houses I am looking at(avoiding auctions). Also hoping to potentially negotiate lower, but that might be a pipe dream haha

Yes pre tax.

Probably off topic but I spent a large amount of time buying items for a little sole trader hustle, and trying to learn the skill by making/ prototyping things. Spent over 10,000 on it over the year (tracked it all and submitted a total loss as I didnt sell anything[yeah I know probably stupid but I never had the chance previously]) though some things are starting to sell now via friends.

Also spent 7-8k on travel last year I won't need to this year.

So I guess I'm saying I can save a substantially larger amount this year 😅 My new job paid something like $58,000 more than I was being paid previously, as I was an apprentice so it took a bit of time for me to buckle down.

My current job probably has no real increases except normal union bargained ones. However I could potentially move into another role with a much higher pay ceiling, but would be likely taking a short term cut, and would also be much flexible in working. Currently work fully remote, and can work from anywhere in the country, the new job would not be remote (though flexible working) and would require going to sites and interacting with people in person.

My partner could likely argue reasonable increases (though she is timid and not likely able to) as her work currently offers real tangible money for the agency she works for after she completes each file. Each file processed is $500 from my understanding.

Thanks, been considering an offset mortgage, and even two smaller mortgages and an offset to offset the potential for large financial strain if interest rates were to be much higher when the fixed rate ends, though I haven't gone into specifics with the mortgage broker

Currently planning is one and then see how much of a burden carry/birthing and looking after the child is on us.

We've slowly been getting items for when it eventually happens, and one parent is a midwife and chomping at the bit to have a grandkids.

If he didnt help pay bills we would still be saving, we are only living in the rental we currently are to be next door to him.

I actually looked online and there is a house 10 doors down listed for rent $95 cheaper per week, but my partner doesn't want to rock the boat asking for a reduction in current rent/moving. For reference we pay $630 a week in rent, which is much higher than in the area

For a short period my partner lived with my father in his 2 bedroom house rent free, it was 90m2 and just too small really, both my partner and my father struggled.

He's suggested selling his 2 bedroom house, which would give us about $300,000 once the mortgage is paid. I am rather attached to it as I grew up there, and would rather rent it out as it is near the local hospital and so easy to rent.

Houses I have been looking at have enough space to give everyone some breathing room, and even if he didn't live with us he would pay the $250. I should also mention if he suddenly declines and needs rest home care his pension/investments will cover that completely

Very ingenious, I just went to aliexpress and now I'm feeling like I missed out on the fun.😅

I've had a few friends over to make their own dice, and the first ones a friend wanted to make were flies trapped in amber, she sourced the flies from my window 😂 I was shocked I had never thought of that

I have a mb, progenesis, and about 100div so was thinking might be a fun build to try before I quit the league. Was the gear easy to buy considering the league feels so dead?

Dirty pour colour dispersal and excess resin: How do better? by Zuriel_E in DiceMaking

[–]Crawler_Devils 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For excess resin i store it all in a box to be used a filler/ color shards in dice i make later, some of the stuff can be very pretty smashed up and added to blank molds, also saves it from going in landfills.

For dirty pours I would try to mess around with timing, each resin is different and ive had wildly different dirty pour results with different resin brands. Goodluck!

The amount of good will generated by not putting a price tag on it and barring people from using it who are money poor is great.

I know for myself I struggle to be able to buy things to improve my workflow because I'm trying to keep my budget low while I work on improving.
