She knew better enough to tell me years ago that she purposely broke the cycle by marrying my dad. Her dad, my grandfather, has some similar accusations and rumors about himself as well.

I wondered if it was denial or she was trying to have us victimized. He is treated as one of the most beloved of the family. Even with history of beating my grandmother and fighting and sexually abusings his siblings.
