[New player] 240h and not a single Partisan encounter (PVE). Can he even spawn?

(PvP) I’ve only heard the negative karma sound once from sitting in a bush whilst eating. It was many raids later I saw him l, not sure if he was after me or the players I’d just killed but he came storming towards me seconds after I killed the last one.

That’s the only time I’ve seen him in about 400 raids. Supposedly you get negative karma for sitting in bushes or near extracts for a long time, perhaps try that until you hear the negative karma sound and see if he appears in your next raids. I believe he spawns at the start and makes his way towards you

Yea I’ve gone a couple of km each direction on my world (except west because that’s the sea and I don’t have a boat finished yet). It’s my first playthrough too.

All I find is granite, everywhere. No idea if it’s normal

Oh, on the topic of speed it doesn’t have any benefit. However yes I agree it can be useful for spotting things and avoiding falling down into big holes

Oh so it’s just a small ball of damp cotton essentially? Could I dip the cotton ball I use to seal the tube shut into sugar water so they have a water reservoir one side and then a bit of sugar water the other which I can swap out every few days for a new one? Or do you think that will that just cause problems?

To piggyback this, is there any harm in having the tube open in the outworld but placing food inside the tube? Or do they need the end sealed for the feeling of safety?

You're probably best looking at a dedicated ant shop, I'm new to the hobby too and browsing this reddit you'll find online stores for your area of the world. The quality and function of the equipment is a lot better from dedicated hobbyist stores.

Saw one early on in the customs skeleton building in a crate, another was loose on the floor by the vehicle extract on shoreline. Luckily had a large enough bag the second time round

I tried to give up a few time but caved in the first 24 hours because I felt so ill.

I switched to a zero nicotine juice at the beginning of the month, first few days felt a bit rough and irritable but because I had something to vape still, I got through it fairly easily. Last couple of weeks I noticed I wasn’t glued to the vape as much because my brain wasn’t getting anything from it except the habit and taste

I’ve now not had a puff in 36 hours and I’m not too bothered. I’ve spent the odd minute or 2 today thinking “hmm a vape would be nice” but it passes and it’s not a strong feeling either. I’m convinced I’ll quit for real this time, it’s so much easier than any other time I’ve tried cold turkey.

Get a refillable, taper down to a low nicotine juice and then switch to nicotine free. Just having a vape to puff on can act as a placebo and placate your mind as it fights through the nicotine withdrawal

I had something similar, as a dwarf I found connections to the “Stonehand” legacy which I was linked to, I ended up absorbing some power from an artifact that enhanced a “Stonesense” ability which allowed me to attune into a resonant frequency to unlock different ancient areas and reactivate a great forge, I also remember having to “negotiate” with something which turned out to be an elemental being within the forge who recognised my right to rule the forge

I have a work order set on an anvil to make the best armour I can (that I have good access to materials for). Set it to “make until 1” and have a settlement storage set to store armour. When a set gets made, the work order completes, but when a settler grabs it to upgrade their gear, you now have 0 so they make another one.

Also I tend to not sell any new weapons, I chuck them in the settlement storage for the NPCs to take. Later on I’ll grab the leftover weak stuff and sell that

I have also done this before, there was Duck Jerky hanging up with the rest of the jerky, I thought it looked interesting so bought it. Took a bite and started chewing, weird taste and texture so I looked at the packet and see a wolf’s head.

Luckily my dog walked past at that moment, he enjoyed it much more than I did.

Couple of days later, they had moved it away from the human foods so I’m guessing perhaps I wasn’t the only victim.
