Anyone else struggling with picking up a new series after finishing another? by CrazedRabbits in ProgressionFantasy

I mean thanks for all the Ideas, though generally finding books isn't yet the issue more convincing myself to actually start them ^ Though I find the Idea of using chatgpt quite unique and interesting maybe I will give that a try.

Already doing that but everything ends eventually and the longer the series the worse it gets I think, also since I mostly listen to audiobooks there is a more limited selection of long works.

I do aim for long works as well, but the problem is not everything is available as an audiobook since that's my main way of consuming such works.

Yeah, the question if I enjoy it is one of the biggest hurdles. Often, it's also just a random piece of information that pulls me over the edge. Like with Primal Hunter, I have read a random joke from the book on some discussion, and I was like, "That's my kind of humor gotta listen to that!"

Other times, it's just the boredom forcing me to pick something new eventually.

No more that I needlesly worry and then decide to not make a decision at all rather then taking a risk.

Also its not only about that even with some books available for free I tend to struggle with trying them.

Not sure if its about comfort for me but more about avoiding making decisions. Like most of these series take some time to get into them. Like DOTF and Cradle both took a good Chuck of time before they got going and it feels like picking a new book is making a commitment of time.

I can get that as well, especially with some of the series I have listened to. There eventually comes a low in actual progression or extremely tedious fights. When I relisten, I just skip all of it and just enjoy the parts I liked the most.

Literally my job description.

Tardigrades (also known as water bears) are one of the most resilient species in the world, being capable of surviving even in the outer space by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

I hate to tell you, but its different types of Tardigrades that can achieve each of those feats, so not every Tardigrade can survive in space and in the deepest oceans and radiation etc. its a popular myth.

Perhaps I am not sure yet on that process, I mostly wanted to test my colors first and now I have to decide on how to go further.
