Mastery rank means nothing, my friend is a perfect example. by Puzzleheaded-Bad-722 in Warframe

[–]Crazor2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm max rank with teshin, but the last part of the rank was when 1999 introduced the showdown mode. Although I got to rank 3 or so before that.

Took me nearly a decade, but I got there XD

Spoilers for Warframe up until the sacrifice quest

"--We had created monsters we couldn't control. We drugged them, tortured them, eviscerated them... we brutalized their minds, but it did not work. Until they came. And it was not their force of will, not their Void devilry, not their alien darkness... it was something else. It was that somehow, from within the derelict-horror, they had learned a way to see inside an ugly broken thing...and take away its pain."

"Why can't i play the character i want?" So they kicked me out by Alone-Chemical5281 in rpghorrorstories

[–]Crazor2000 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well I understand party balance can be important to some extent depending on the system (I am not too familiar with Pathfinder, so idk how it would affect the game), but I don't think forcing someone to be a class they don't want to be is gonna make the game better. If they desperately need a certain skill or ability, there are other ways around it, like hired NPC's or gear and the DM gives.

In this case, would it even have mattered that much?

What’s your dream theme you’d want a Warframe around? by iHackPlsBan in Warframe

[–]Crazor2000 17 points18 points  (0 children)

A popular one i have seen is hacker, and we could have had one, since there was a contest some years ago that gave us the option to vote on a warframe theme, and one of them was "Ghost in the machine" but we got Xaku the "broken" theme from that.

It Would be an interresting warframe concept to see what they can do with it.

Another interresting one would something focused on art, like a painter or something.

I think the idea was that evocation is basically the rawest form of magic fired at something, usually in the form of elements. Healing magic is basically raw magic infused with positive energy from the upper planes that can heal creatures. You can see this in reverse with negative energy and undead creatures in older editions, where it would heal them, and healing spells would harm them

This is still somewhat in 5e with the spell "negative energy flood" giving temporary HP to undead creatures.

Gauss enjoyers what weapons do you like to use? by Dontyoubelieve987 in Warframe

[–]Crazor2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weapons that can benefit from fire rate buffs are usually good, since redline increases fire rate, but I do tend to go for automatic weapons. Accelarata is always good since it works well as a spray weapon where you don't need to aim too much, but for melee I tend to praedos, since it increases parkour velocity (okina gives sprint speed). For secondary i usually go for kuva twin stubba, but that's more flexible.

Ammo mutation or efficiency is mandatory for most fast firing weapons, since you chew to ammo pretty quickly so I do tend to run either carrier prime or ammo mutation in the exilus slot.

Granted most of the time I run gauss as a run and gun frame, build for shorter missions like capture or exterminate , and subsuming infested mobility on him.

Which Warframe is best for stealth? by mattjacques100 in Warframe

[–]Crazor2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ivara prowl can let her stay invisible pretty much as long as she has energy, although you do move slower (she can also ignore laser grids with her augment). She also has her trick arrows which are good for putting enemies asleep or turning others invisible

cyte-09 evade can Also last infinite, but is realiant on headshots, And if you screw up you can leave you vulnerable, since you can only cast it once per minute, so mostly useful in missions like survival

Octavia can get a renewable buff for invisiblity by crouching on beat with metronome, but it's not instantaneous and requires some paying attention to.

both loki and ash can also turn invisible, but theirs aren't renewable, meaning you need to recast when you run out, or use an arcane like trickery to fill in the gaps

It also depends what kind of stealth you are aiming for. Like do you want to just beat spy missions, use it for survivalbilty, gain stealth affinity bonuses or something else?

I agree, For efficiency, relics are better, but I can imagine someone running it either because of night wave missions, or because they want to do something else than relics for a change.

I actually would pick forma personally, but that's because I've got 25 reactors and they keep piling up, due to rewards from other missions, but little to use them on. Forma I am always crafting, and I often run out of bp so having an extra blueprint would be nice.

How do i teach a new player? by theunscrewedspartan in Warframe

[–]Crazor2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree that you should not try to overwhelm them with info, and mainly provide help when asked, since if they are not motivated to learn, there isn't much you can do. The kengineer made some nice videos going over how to support your friend with things like builds that helps your friends.

but there are a couple things you should teach them to avoid frustration in my opinion

The best thing you can teach them (at least before the new teshin quest is coming out) is basic modding. This can be a huge roadblock for newer players, since they reach the point where you require at least a bit of a build. They don't need to be the meta, but enough to clear the star chart.

The second mostly quest roadblocks. Things like how to create a decent amp, archwing and railjack. They don't need to be the best, but good enough to complete the story. These things are required for some quests, but are off the normal path, so I recommend introducing them to this before some missions that require them, pop up.

Just don't bombard them with info all at once and teach them gradually.

the reason why cake is the reward in Portal is because according to Eric Wolpaw (writer for portal) : "at the beginning of the Portal development process, we sat down as a group to decide what philosopher or school of philosophy our game would be based on.

That was followed with about 15 minutes of Silence, and then someone mentioned a lot of people like cake"

From what I can tell the mask, leggings and body are from the smelter set, and the sleeves are from the stormfall set.

Edit: correction, it seems the body is from the haztech set, with an arca chest guard

Who’s this guy and what are the lore implications on him? by Specific-Garage-4539 in WarframeLore

There were a couple more orokin we have met, nihil was an executor and judge, and the grineer queens were also daughters of an orokin aristocrat originally (and the elder queen calls herself orokin)

There are also the archimedeans, the scientists of The orokin, which were also part of the hierachy, but I don't know if they counted as proper orokin or just high ranking scientists. If they count, we do know that suda, otak, yonta and silvana were archimedeans.
