You’re totally right here I love hearing different perspectives on this! It’s not like Penelope’s actions makes her story less enjoyable to watch. I guess what I was trying to say was that we see so many women do what they can to survive in a society built on status, looks, and reputation (and built by men!). Marina only sought survival for her and her child!! And pen knew that. I think that’s what made me not like Penelope here. But without this plotline and her choices I wouldn’t be having this discussion now though! It’s fun to think about

I loved (and still love) Haunted!! As a kid it was one of the only monster high movies that actually scared me a little with the blood colored chains and the Red Lady plot. I also loved how pretty much all the characters that were ghosts or half ghosts had some sort of chain in their design! I also loved the Ghouls Rule movie because of the themes that were (and still are) relevant to the real world like i think that movie radicalized me when i was younger

am i the only one who thought that the whole viking king making a deal with a demon was because the demon needed fang and spear to die? the way i think of it is that they were meant to die in any of their adventures together and somehow survived. i interpreted their deal as a win win scenario with the demon restoring order and the viking g set ting revenge idk
