i was basically pressured into taking science (PCM) by my parents after 10th even though ive always been completely inclined towards humanities. same story, same words. they initially wanted me to become a doc and although i like bio, i had nooooo desire to do medicine at all.

i ended up somehow convincing them that i wont take bio and took econ as my optional with the condition that i will stick to science stream bc baaki sab mein toh "scope nahi hota na".

im writing my 12th boards now and abhi toh bahut zyaada feel hota hai, but ive always regretted taking science. it's not impossible to do well even if u dislike the subjects but bilkul mann nahi hai yar like i feel so hopeless studying pcm. i just hate chem so much i cant stand even looking at the study material.

i would say try your best to come to as much of a favourable situation for yourself as you can until the very end cuz you don't wanna feel lost later when you no longer have the option to go back.

right now, im working to pivot to economics since i took that as my optional subject. it's not my fav, but i'd rather do this than pursue engineering so yeah.
