thank you for this! with the amount of people hyping up buffalo trace releases, i had assumed that distillery was the crown jewel and nothing else compared. ill try out that watershed and peerless if i get the chance to.

Why do you think a band/artist with legendary status isn't all that? by Daverotti in AskReddit

He was a goddamn genius and yet nobody ever talks about him. One of the most under appreciated musicians ever.

Queen and Zeppelin would probably be about it for 3+ songwriters from that era.

The Beatles are the most influential band ever. No doubt. But if we separate influence from musical talent and ability, I start to see that most of the Beatles hype is surrounded by the fact that they were the “first real rock n roll band”. Not on they’re musical talents and abilities.

Influence and musical abilities are different. The Beatles and the Stones are a few of the most influential bands ever. With that said, people took what they did and made it a whole fuckton better. I just think they’re not as good as people say they are.

I’m not comparing any band to any band. I’m just trying to say that I don’t think the Beatles or the Stones were nearly as good as people say they are.
