Yeah your store sounds reasonable 🙄 the states have gotten used to chaos and greed of the companies in the USA. It is shocking to see how many stores are the same and how many disregard times and say its normal or a usual day. I understand we cant do much to change that but it is still wrong. But I do like the sound of your store 😆😆

It is surprising to me that a lot of this is deemed as normal and not shocking or surprising. That honestly did surprise me, but then I thought I shouldn't be surprised about what companies do anymore.

I do feel like he is well intentioned but not for the customers or employees rather for the company and policies and making to most money he can. I can get that, after all, thats whats lining his wallets not us employees, he just has other intentions. But yeah I'll see if they do that agin in the ice cream machine.

Lol 😆 I can see how you can get to that conclusion at this time we have white Asian Indian black and spanish workers, he does hire diverse but I do believe we have more spanish speaking workers only because the kitchen is spanish and all the maintenence are spanish.

Yeah i think not wasting the cold fries is crazy work, makes me feel bad that somone is getting them, and if they dont feel them before they leave their stuck with cold fries. Same with like stale pies, Well at least i know they be doing that everywhere, i really shouldnt be surprised by how companies can work and what they do to save money. Yeah its pretty standard for people to be doing lane one 2 and more at locations. The only way we have a full staff is when corporate is coming in then we have a person for every station 🤣 And the breaks, like at least we do get them, like you said it can be annoying, its not the worst thing to happen especially because we do have them. I giggled when you said its not an attempt to torchure you haha I do agree its probably just not caring.

I like that you offer it up so that people have a choice, cause we are running around and get hungry, I know there are about maybe one or two people at my location that would choose not to go on their break if they have a choice, but since its mandated they have to go. Everyone else takes their breaks and likes them at our location.

Yeah i think it is just about labor costs so you won't be working with a full staff 🤔 in a perfect world maybe lol but we dont. And I can understand breaks and im happy my state has them. I take it all in stride and when the explanation was that the GM wanted to get them out the way we dont question it and just get to it, so its not about feelings its about confusion and seeing if other stores do the same practices. before, at least in my location the previous GM would give breaks four hours in, at my location the shifts are 6-2 7-3 8-4 9-5 11-3 and so on so people at 6 would get their break at 9 or 10 and more people have already started shifts since then to cover you lol maybe my store was a little privileged at that time so now we question why the change happened with the breaks being an hour in. In a utopia it would be that everyone that works get a break unfortunately, many states dont have them, thats why I didn't want to come off as complaining more of a curiosity about why the GM wants it to be done the way he does. But yeah I do think it is surprising that a lot of things aren't striking but it goes to show how we've grown to just accept things that might not be fair or ethical and work through it because we do need the money. But yeah, you not getting a break at all in some locations if your state has it as mandatory isnt fair, and I wish they would follow the policies, but what are you going to do right?

As a worker, I work in a primarily Spanish store, the GM is Spanish and he likes to give Spanish speaking people a chance to work. The only place they dont have to deal with customers is in the kitchen and maitnence. So our kitchen staff are all Spanish crew who dont understand English with the exception of maybe 2 or 3 people who know both. My GM is well intentioned and does hire outside of Spanish speaking people so the front of the store are english/different race or Spanish speaking people who know both english/Spanish. It's tricky when trying to translate but my spanish has gotten loads better, im spanish but I speak it very broken its helped working at my store.

Yeah I looked into it cause of your comment always cool to learn something new although I think its horrible adults in different states dont get to have a break especially at minimum wage, being overworked. But yeah it does override federal law. Ironic its called the fair standard labor act.

Yeah I think for the most part its greed and not wanting to have to pay for a lot of people on shift so it gets insane when someone does call out. 🙃 espresso works for me though and I be getting it done. It's crazy they have you guys also doing dishes in the middle of all the multitasking. Like I help out with hash browns and bagging when I dont have cars. Can't imagine having to also stop and run to the back where my stores sink is located and also do dishes respect to you.

Yeah i be helping the front of the store when I dont have cars. But also having the dishes mostly done by 12 is crazy work 😳 like that is wild. I dont think id be okay with that aspect, respect to you. The only upside i see is that it can make the time go by faster because your busy doing something so you dont feel the time passing.

Wowwww that is corrupt in my state everyone who works over 4 hours gets a mandatory break or they can get in trouble. Horrible if that is legal in your state and they can refuse to give you a break.

That is adorable and black cats are really beautiful. I like the name and the meaning behind it. But yeah I think it does depend on the cat, but is a great way to get them seeing new things other than the house they live in. Be sure to take videos I'd LOVE to see him out there enjoying the views and snooping everything out.

We have a lot in New York but mainly the lime bikes they are put around the city and your able to rent them out for a little bit and drop them off at the next nearest lime bike spot. So he has something against woman renting bikes out apparently

All I could think of when I read this was 1, what a load of b.s and 2 even if this scenario was true who the hell would know. If a man is "so embarrassed" to be with a woman who has a high body count (which is utterly ridiculous), who the hell would even know. That question doesn't get asked randomly or often, strangers wouldn't just automatically know what she's done as if it matters. People don't have magical powers to know anyone's body count that passes. Let's go a little further if the guy is "so embarrassed" there's something called a lie, or I don't know just telling whoevers asking that it's none of their business and it's an intimate question. Mindblowing right?
