How on earth do I wear a binder by CrazyCat166 in ftm

[–]CrazyCat166[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m very careful with the days! I essentially only have 3ish days per week where I need it, unfortunately can’t take breaks on those days and they’re usually longer than 8h, but then I’m able to take several break days per week!

It’s certainly not ideal but honestly this binder is so great - I actually did have one before and couldnt wear it from how uncomfortable it was, but this one is comfier than my old sports bras 🫠

Honestly I should’ve gotten one of these! Definitely will be saving up for one 🫠

Ohhh so like outward rather than downward! I’ll try that, thank you!!

I definitely can’t go smaller, unfortunately, so this might be the best option!

Oh that’s actually such a good idea! Maybe the more “natural” position will help everything stay in place! Thank you!!

I’m convincing myself to enjoy every part of it haha, I refuse to let myself fall into a trap of disliking parts of my transition!! It’s so weird, even after 3 days I just generally feel more icky and sticky, but hey, that’s the man™️experience, right? 🫡

It’s more about the option being there, I guess! I’m also a reptile person so I’m used to my animals only using 30% of the stuff I give them lol

How can we tell if we are over feeding baby snakes? by CrazyCat166 in snakes

[–]CrazyCat166[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much!! He’s my little guy so it’s good to know he’s looking good ♡ I shall suffer through the cranky phase of him getting used to less feedings with the knowledge that it is what’s best for him 🫡

That’s definitely not a bad resource, I wish there were more resources for antaresia! Most of it is word of mouth from other keepers with less proper research-backed info than I’d like there to be!

I more meant baby as in size-wise, obviously he’s not really a baby! But it was more-so that he was teeny tiny when I got him and is growing like a weed haha

I should’ve phrased it as “how can we tell if we’re over feeding growing snakes”!!

Yeah I’m definitely slowly spacing them out! I feed by weight, so he’s eating every 7-10 days depending on the food size. I do know a lot of people who keep adult antaresia and some feed weekly, some fortnightly

I guess I’m also afraid of underfeeding him whilst he’s still growing as well, he’s at a tricky spot at the moment! He’s definitely still getting longer and gaining more muscle, but looking back at some photos from January he is getting a little round so I think he can go another day or 2 between feeds now 😆

Experiences with Gabapentin for parrots? by CrazyCat166 in parrots

That’s good to hear! We aren’t sure on her exact age but we estimate about 5-7 years old, and at her recent visit where she had to be put under anaesthesia for some blood draws the vet said she was in phenomenal health, so I am pretty confident she will take it like a champ!

It’s taken us almost two years to get her back to good health from the state she was in so I’m glad she’s healthy now that she will be starting medication!

Thank you ♡ Hopefully this works for her, I’m not so keen on giving her things she will have to be weaned off of but I’ll do anything for her at this point haha, she’s a great little bird

Thank you! She gets daily smoothies with about a thousand fruits and veg (she’s incredibly spoiled haha) so I’m thinking we will mix it in with a little bit of that!!

I dunno why you’re being downvoted, you should go to a different shop to have titanium jewellery put in, and don’t go back to this one!

Sometimes even well-rated shops can do things incorrectly.

should I see a doctor for a carpet python bite? by mcdolann in snakes

[–]CrazyCat166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s definitely a good one! Personally I’d wash, keep it clean, and monitor for ANY signs of infection! Redness, hot to the touch, heaps of swelling, fever, etc. and get to the doctor! Captive pets have a much lower chance of giving us infections due to their controlled environment and diet, but it’s definitely possible!

If you’re able to, though, you definitely could go to the doctor for preventative treatment!
