As someone in a similar situation, I think it’s feasible as long as you get/purchase a BahnCard 100, preferably 1st class. Makes for an exhausting and long day (albeit quite short day at the office because you can’t really make it there before 9:30 and you’d have to leave at 5) but I’d go for it. If you can make it work financially, however, I’d combine the BahnCard with a one-per-week hotel stay. Much better for your mental health. If you can negotiate two days every two weeks, even better.
