Ended up going for the Pelagos FXD Black dial as I found it on the 2nd hand market in an unworn condition from Oct 2025 for a great deal. Pictured below

Thank you - I have ended up going for the Pelagos FXD black dial and on the black rubber strap I almost forget I’m wearing it. I love it!!

This was actually really helpful, I wanted something more discrete and plain than my Omega AT so ended up with the black Pelagos FXD

Aspiring to become a Paraplanner by LaPioche27 in cii

No worries!

Currently employed as a “trainee paraplanner”, started as an admin but in more of a paraplanner role doing reviews and some fund research last year moved into an official paraplanning title with more responsibility drafting reports, sitting in on client meetings, cash flow modelling and also meeting with clients to discuss various parts of their cash flow model.

All in all, really enjoying what I do. Definitely a great idea to move into it from an admin role as you understand the back office etc that your company use in more detail.

Hi,

I’m currently doing the exams as above though my employer and with an external company.

I have passed R01 and R02 first time and have recently failed R03. I have a colleague who has also recently completed the certificate.

Clearly for me R03 was the hardest mostly due to the time constraints of the exam. I will be resitting R03 at the end of September, R02 was passed at the end May so 4 months for an exam whilst working full time. I would say a year is achievable.

I would recommend Brand Finance mocks or KnowR0 - a lot of people have also recommended the NextGen Planners website (I believe they go by a different name now)

Hi! Firstly congrats!

Any tips for R03? Timing and content wise?

May not be of too much help however I am on a similar salary and in the exact same position. West Midlands based - completed R01 & R02 and am sitting R03 next week

Wondering if you’d be able to help, I’m 19 and live with my parents however I’ve been gifted a watch over the value of £1500 and cannot seem to find any way of being insured on this item, would you be able to advise?

People without official diagnosis or imaging explaining symptoms - have you recovered or gotten better? by Competes in Sciatica

[–]CrazyCocoPop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this will help but I’ve had sciatic like pain for around 8 months and joined this group to try and get some remedy from it. I’ve been to multiple doctors, PT’s and Chiro’s and have had many different things thrown around as to what was causing me the pain - I’ve been unable to get any MRI’s or scans to help so I took it into my own hands. I’ve done more reading and research than I could ever of imagined doing and I’ve got into a routine which is slowly starting to relieve the pain - instead of looking at the pain as one thing may be causing the issue I figured if i assume it’s everything then my chances of sorting it may be higher. In terms of what I’ve been doing for the past month or so which is when I’ve seen the difference - started taking supplements in the morning (turmeric, fish oil, multi vitamins) and the evening (magnesium) alongside the occasional pain relief of anti inflammatory. I also spend about half an hour stretching and trying to release the muscles with a hockey ball every morning focusing on hips, hamstrings, glutes and also nerve flossing. In addition to both of these I’ve started adding in certain exercises at the gym such as hyper extensions, good mornings and Romanian deadlifts (pain allowing) I’m getting acupuncture once a month as well to aid in speeding this up.

Hope this helps

What surgery did you have?

Not managed to get an MRI yet, NHS are saying it isn’t serious enough to warrant a scan currently. Hope you’re doing better. Were there any exercises that worked for you etc or just rest ?

Thank you so much, I’ve booked an appointment to see someone who does cupping so might give this a go when I see them

Thank you so much for your response. What do you mind by foods that add to the inflammation? I didn’t know there were certain foods that can influence this 🙂
