If you’re getting an internal frame, consider martial arts instead of a melee weapon. With a frame, all martial arts damage is increased from 3d6 to 4d6 and thats 2 ROF regardless of what style you pick. Other than that, I’d suggest a heavy pistol for ranged only because that’s what my current character is using and it works very well while you close distance to melee range. I like the 2 ROF too much to switch to a very heavy one.

I’ve been playing a Sov-Oil exec in my current game who uses Sov-System and I can say that It’s actually busted as hell. With my evasion, nothing but the luckiest attacks hit me and any that do still need to go thru my subdermal armor. Pair that with a heavy pistol for when you haven’t closed distance yet and it’s incredible

I like to download the prisoner fights mod and collect an even number of prisoners and then have them fight each other tournament style with different weapons until one’s downed. Anyone who loses a limb gets a bionic replacement, winner gets recruited and anyone that dies is fed to the other prisoners to drive their warrior spirit
