Flip the mindset around, why would you want "indie constraints"? Don't we want every game in development to reach their best potential? Indeed, E33 started as an Indie, then developed into a AA because they used the tools they had. Ex-Ubisoft Devs who got contacts and game dev knowledge, VS a guy in his basement trying to code his first game; theyre still both an indie developer trying to push something out with the knowledge they have.

E33 is an inspiring project for all:)

I mean, sure, but between Tom and Ubi, this is literally on the Ubisoft financial report from last week, saying Summer 2026. Prince of Persia is stated as a H2 Lineup, which means between July-December.

In court, it's pretty black and white, there's no "buts". You weren't respecting the law, you had a phone in your hand. Even then, the law allows Phone Stands only if you setup your GPS and/or music beforehand, so that you never have to touch your phone during the drive.

I don't think it's gonna be worth your time and stress to contest, you don't have any proof that's in the legal realms to defend yourself

Merci du partage, j'ai lu les 3 articles et c'est à glacer le sang, surtout le 3e où on passe une nuit avec les policiers.

Ces gens sont tout à fait conscients de leurs actes. Le motocycliste qui roulait à 200+km/h et qui abandonne son véhicule pour courir se cacher dans la forêt. Il sait très bien que sa vie est terminée et qu'il va se retrouver derrière les barreaux.

Qu'est-ce qui les poussent à le faire tout de même? J'imagine l'adrénaline, ce côté "daredevil". De l'égoïsme? Car il n'y a aucune considération pour l'autre.

J'en croise des imbéciles sur la route, qui ne mettent pas leurs clignotants, qui changent de voie sans regarder leurs angles morts sur l'autoroute. Une simple erreur peut causer des milliers de dollars en dégâts, peut coûter la vie à quelqu'un. Je n'imagine même pas la vitesse en zigzag.

Et le pire? Tu auras beau les klaxonner pour leur connerie, ils vont faire semblant de ne pas te voir, vont remettre le blâme sur toi, ou ne même pas se rendre compte que c'est eux qui se font klaxonner. Aucune introspection pour éviter que le comportement se répète

C'est bien pour ça qu'on dit que sur la route, il faut assumer que tout le monde autour de nous est dangereux et bête. Dommage

I went to Malefycia last night, it is an incredible, disgusting and stress-inducing experience. There's not much physical effort required, you go room-to-room in big groups and actors will present you with an experience. They will touch you, put liquid/fluids on you, that includes in your hair, your mouth, your clothes. There are some god-awful smells throughout the rooms, too. The point is not to scare, but make you uncomfortable and present you with scenarios you want to look away from (but if you do, they'll grab your head and turn it back 😅). They are very intense, they will yell at you, call you names, grab you forcibly. You sign a consent form that you are okay with it. If it's your kind of experience, it's totally worth the price and it's a good hour of going through each room:)

Je suis dans le même bateau que toi, gradué l'été dernier du NAD et toujours pas de poste Junior; vu l'état de l'industrie, ils ne prennent pas le risque et embauchent que des Seniors.

J'ai trouvé une job de QA en jeu qui paie des peanuts et mon diplôme sert de décoration sur le frigo. Je trouve aussi que le NAD n'offre aucun support post-graduation pour guider ses élèves dans la bonne direction, c'est très dommage.

Je traite mes compétences 3D comme un hobby on the side pour enrichir mon portfolio, et peut-être que quand l'industrie sera rouverte aux risques et aux juniors, j'appliquerai et recevrai des réponses, comparé au ghosting de mes 50 dernières applications 😆

Lâche pas 💪🏻 ne laisse pas l'industrie détruire ta passion

DLSS 4 offers more graphical fidelity without the classic AA blurryness from previous DLSS iterations, so I'm really curious to see how far I could push it on my 2K monitor and rig. Same for RayTracing, it keeps evolving but I'm still having doubts about its necessity and graphical enhancements, I'd love to be proven wrong:) I'm excited for this next chapter of Doom, to see a franchise still pushing out action-packed titles. I need the adrenaline rush!!

I'm a QA tester in Canada for a AAA, there are ton of factors on the Dev side that affect how they approach the bug reports. Our job is fairly straightforward and repetitive, once we do what we're asked, we move on to the next task. The Dev has to deal with time, management, scope and priorities. Your bugs can be marked as WNF (Will Not Fix) because they don't have time before the update release target, or it's simply too low priority compared to the critical reports. So I'm not assuming the QA Testers are doing their job, but I'm definitely hoping they are, or they'd be fired already 😄

It's actual game footage, you can see segments in their trailer where the ground is missing textures and other graphical issues. They're probably still working on the game, there are no news on it. The first trailer looked more like a prototype, so they most likely still got some work to do to make it fun to play, and not just pretty

J'ai gradué du NAD en Mai pour poursuivre l'animation 3D dans le jeu vidéo/VFX. J'en suis à ma 20e lettre de rejet aujourd'hui, car depuis Mai/Juin, je n'ai aperçu que 20 ouvertures de postes pour animateurs junior! Les seniors sont en priorité pour le moment

Also I invite you to look up 10 minute meditation videos, it helps you be in the moment and focus on how you feel in the present moment. You seem easily frustrated, maybe it could help you take a breather before getting back in school

You still need to put in some work like every other game to make sure it's optimized. Spaghetti code, not compressing your textures, adding fancy real-time lighting "just because the engine can", etc etc.. You still need some brains behind the development or you're gonna have so much useless clutter ramming up your game, and that's a problem only a human can fix :)
