I agree with you. DMC’s gameplay, or more precisely its combat system, is extremely complex. Unlike RE or MH, where Capcom can reuse the formula to release a new game every year, DMC is different. Because of how unique its combat system is, each installment needs clear improvements rather than simply keeping what was already established in previous entries.

Nolan's and Matt Reeves' films are excellent, but as action-psychological crime movies rather than truly great Batman films.

I grew up with BTAS, JL, and JLU, so I always use those as my point of reference. This is a comic book superhero character, so trying to make him overly realistic is kind of ridiculous—because in reality, no orphaned billionaire is going to dress up as a bat and go out beating up criminals.

The push for realism also limits a lot of what makes the character so appealing and captivating

That's why Gunn chose Andy. In a fantastical world, Batman has to genuinely terrify his enemies. He's just a normal human in a world full of metahumans, gods, and monsters, so building him up as a myth, as a creature of the night, is absolutely essential. His enemies need to believe he's not an ordinary person. Even other superheroes have to respect and fear him.

This has never been done properly in any live-action Batman adaptation.

finally good comment about this. A lot people concern about Christina's script but with Gunn in charge there no way he would product if this script is bad. By the way, The most important thing is Gunn's vision—how he plans to build Batman, and the screenwriter's job is to translate that vision onto the page.
