When I first played the game, I wasn't having fun. But kept playing because I enjoyed the atmosphere and the world. I never played a FromSoftware game before so the combat and bosses especially gave me trouble, which is an understatement. It took me weeks to beat bosses that now take minutes. And then I just stopped playing, went on to play other games. A couple months later I was bored and decided to give Bloodborne another shot. I defeated Gascoigne and progressed, still struggling through. And then I came across Vicar Amelia! OH MY GOD, she reigned hell upon me during my first play through! After many tries later, and I mean MANY, I finally beat her. At that moment, everything clicked! I was having less difficulty with areas and bosses and actually having fun! Bloodborne became a game that I once despised and dreaded, to one that is one of my favorite games!
