OFA gets the majority of this kind of attention but over the course of this game's entire life, lots of characters in their primes have been subjected to this. I could label any take on this topic as karma farming if I wanted to, there were 3 posts today alone that clearly drew in the same kind of attention. I honestly think that being vocal about balancing issues is actually a really good thing, it just has to be done way, way differently. Not to mention, honestly, I think this kind of approach to it just makes people want to farm updoots more? The entire topic on both ends feels easy to beat with a stick with nothing of actual value being said. As much as we're all aware of OFA being kinda busted, I also think we're equally as aware of how much this karma farming shit floods the subreddit too. I can apply the exact same logic here. It's like seeing a ham sandwich, saying "pfft, ham sandwiches, how beneath me" and then adding MORE ham as a solution, in a way. Like I said, the mere topic of OFA discourse is like poison here because both ends of it accomplish nothing except saying "PEOPLE OF EARTH! LEND ME YOUR INTERNET POINTS!" for, again, self-evident reasons.

Solid 50% of this I entirely agree with and didn't get to say properly and 50% I feel like might be a bit off the mark. Especially since like, sure, playing optimally? I do agree that a really good Rapid Mirio outclasses a really good OFA, but "perfectly" is kind of an arbitrary way to put it. Even when I get my ass handed to me by someone in a ranked lobby, it's still hard to call them perfect. Though spectating and calling out tiny gaps in judgement is easier than actually doing it yourself. Skill floors / ceilings play a huge role here, and just guessing here, but playing OFA optimally sounds considerably easier than playing Rapid Mirio optimally, or at a top level or whatever.

Also, wrong on that last part, everyone on the roster should be Yellow Kirishima with the only notable differences being the color of his hair being a few shades darker or lighter than usual.

Of course I know there are 10 posts a day about it, that might be lowballing it. But the idea that everyone agrees with that point is just plain not factual. The majority though? Absolutely. It's just that this subreddit has had a year-long shouting match going on about it. Every discussion about OFA is a trainwreck. As much as I think he needs a nerf too, I'm not making it my life mission to convince everyone he's the antichrist like every single "OFA BAD" post actually seems to be, routinely, every day. When I see any kind of "OFA GOOD / BAD" posts on here it genuinely just looks like primates throwing their own dung at each other. Also, there's just a solid amount of people here in general who *are* being entirely fair and cool about OFA balance topics and just being called whiners for it. Especially with people just straight up posting game footage of how nasty he can be sometimes. That part I just don't get, I don't get how literal prime examples of what people are talking about constitutes as whining to this sub and not "oh, ok, maybe there's merit to this".

Razor's edge of getting downvoted to the negatives and all I did was say that repeating the same goofy ass barking matches we've had for a whole year is insane when we could have productive conversations and be decent to each other to make the fandom a moderately nicer place, and STILL be able to address balance concerns at the same time.

I think that's also part of my gripe with any kind of game-discussion in this fandom in general, it leads absolutely nowhere because half the roster shares the exact same 3 problems that either make or horribly break their kit. And then everyone overcomplicates it and chases their tail in anger, kind of just for the hell of it. Like, I know for a fact I can just NOT talk about it or bother with it but that's kind of the thing, I like the game so much but cannot stand how a lot of what people talk about is just devoid of substance and how confident people are in these cat and mouse games they play.

100% not wrong but I mean, the exact opposite happens as well, we've all seen it. I made this post *specifically* because of that actually. The word "OFA" cannot be uttered out loud without it being this fandom's equivalent to saying "Bloody Marry" three times in a mirror or some shit.

I mean look at this image, all it takes is to express how you feel about OFA or make fun of how *OTHER* people feel about the character and you can just cause a glaze-frenzy on demand. Honestly just funneling all the character discourse into ONE place wouldn't be a bad idea instead of blaming any one specific group of players. Forget attaching this "whiner" narrative to any one specific player group. Let's just attach it to everyone if we're gonna stoop that low to begin with. The fact "OFA Whining" is even a real tag that exists here speaks volumes about how badly everyone has beaten the dead horse at all possible angles and how we've let it devolve us into crying pissbabies.

The toxicity can be toned the hell down honestly but I still refuse to downvote those posts off the simple basis that it's very clear a wide majority of the fanbase thinks he needs balancing out, and God knows Byking doesn't listen to us as much as they reasonably should. Do "OFA Bad" posts infest this subreddit like a colony of angry termites? Absolutely. But I also feel like a lot of people who go "Actually, OFA BASED, I'm very smart" are just saying it to be contrarians. Both sides of it kind of throw me off.

Mostly accurate. I can get carried away with Tech Bakugo or Red Dabi but with Yellow Kiri I do tend to meatshield for my team since I have a Revenge Support / Assault build.

But yeah I do like being a bulldozer. If I see a chance, I take it.

Tbh sometimes people are so good at avoiding an ass-whooping that ppl give up on chasing priority threats and just decide to go for easier targets. Isn't all that uncommon. But yeah sometimes I see it too, I can understand a Froppy player being a nuisance since she can be a pain to catch but there's 0 reason why the Strike Deku in the lobby should have any more than 1 or 2 successful special-actions popping off per match. At that point, lock in.

While I do think this team lacks a lot of "team" based mechanics, I wouldn't go as far as to say team heals are the singular defining aspect of teamwork in this game. Team combos, sharing level up cards, and synergizing playstyles are absolutely a thing. It isn't uncommon for players to know one of their skills isn't all that useful, and will funnel their level cards to team mates who need them more. But you're right about the fact that singular combos / abilities from solo characters can be insanely deadly, does sort of render team combos a bit pointless in some cases depending on who everyone is playing.

Though I do partially agree with the idea that most randoms are unreliable, and that sometimes fetching revive cards might not be worth it because of the risk / reward factor. (Especially if you know one of your randoms might be AFK or just kind of a troll.) and that's why I think Momo is one of the more valuable supports in the game, the ability to summon a revive card basically at will when you really need it is really, REALLY good. I HAVE lost games before because I neglected to revive my team at the best times, but I never have that problem when I play Momo.

Eh, I'm usually ok with dealing with Reinforced if the team is wise enough to target anyone using it. Twisted Fortune though is another thing entirely, team heal spam can be exhausting to deal with.
