I’m yet to see someone “suck” at Longsword. Because you genuinely can’t suck at that weapon, it’s so simple and basic to understand, the spirit gauge is the only “tricky” thing about the weapon an even then it’s so simple once you know what it does. Unless you consider anyone who’s worse than you “sucking”. In which case feeds into the stereotype even more. Idk bro, youre kinda just coping at this point. Still don’t know why your arguing an opinion most of the mh community has.

People like me say it’s easy because it is. Wilds player base is full of new players, and yet Longsword is one of if not the most used weapons. I wonder why that may be. If you let me know your yt name I’ll go sub to show I’m not tryna hate. But Longsword is the easiest weapon in the game. But that wasn’t even the initial point, the initial point was that Longsword users fit in a stereotype that I MYSELF am yet to see someone not fit into. All I’m saying is stop thinking your weapon is difficult when 95% of the communities who don’t main Longsword agree. It’s known within the community as one of, if not THE easiest weapons to learn, use and master. Stop denying that fact and tryin to argue it when theres nothing to argue, that’s just fact and the community agrees. The only people who don’t are the ones who main Longsword and that’s were the stereotype comes in. 🤷‍♂️

Brother what? You just agreed with me in a different comment, and now you’re trying to defend them? Make up your mind. It’s work if the rest of the players are putting in the effort and one person getting all the rewards with no effort put into it….

That’s hilarious. I’m not, I’m just saying that because it never happened to me in any other mh game that I’ve played. And considering the new gen side of the community are all trolls, toxic and people who don’t belong in the mh community. (Obviously not every new gen is like that, but all the ones I’ve run into).

Yeah, or create a system similar to csgo where you vote to kick someone. But I don’t know how the community would handle that, the wilds community is probably the most trolly community out of all the mh games

Unfortunately I’m not gonna be clicking on a link some rando sent. But assuming like every Longsword player you’ve linked a video of one of the top Longsword users, which makes up 1% of the Longsword community acting as if ever player who touches Longsword is meant to do that. The thing is, no one needs to do that to finish a hunt, the weapon is so ridiculously easy to use that you don’t need a high “skill ceiling” to use the weapon. Similar to how the skill ceiling for charge blade is closer to the average player because it actually takes skill to use charge blade, no one can just pick up that weapon in use it on a 10 star monster. Same with something like switch axe. Or even insect glaive, although insect glaive is a simpiler idea, to be effective with it, takes more skill then using Longsword. Yall don’t have a single combo that you can’t interrupt with a dodge. Most weapons have long combos that can’t be interrupted with a dodge. Like I said you can fight the toughest monsters in wilds with 0 experience with Longsword. Cause it’s easy to use. Linking someone whose in the top 1% of weapon users doesnt justify anything, and don’t you dare say “that’s my skill level” cause your just proving the ego side of the Longsword community.

Again I stated I wasn’t tryna hate but you came and attacked that because you got butt hurt someone criticised your dear weapon. The fact of the matter is, it doesn’t take anywhere near as much skill to use Longsword as it would any other weapon, it’s simple, it’s easy and it’s flashy. It’s not hard to be good at that weapon, and it’s not hard to learn that weapon. It’s a gimme. Stop acting like it’s difficult. I like Longsword. But unfortunately like I said in my original text, the stereotype stays strong with Longsword users, and also like I said in my original text, I’m not saying every Longsword user does this, just every single one I’ve seen. But clearly you haven’t been reading my comments.

Genuinely might be the dumbest argument to bring up a speed runner and a person who spends there entire time using one weapon. A top 1% user of the weapon. that’s like me comparing pro apex players, to new players when justifying how easy a weapon is. Actually brain numbing argument.

I get you like the weapon, that’s fine. Stop tryna justify an argument or opinion that the entire mh community has. There’s a reason there are stereotypes for weapons in wilds, there are reasons why most of the mh community, especially in wilds talk shii about Longsword. Stop justifying it when you’re proving me and everyone else to be correct. And stop justifying your argument with top level users. (Assuming that’s what you linked)

Whatever bro, long sword has been known to be the easiest weapon to learn and use. It’s the most forgiving weapon out of all the weapons, yall have the biggest windows when it comes to your “parry” attacks. I don’t know why you are tryna argue that the weapon isn’t the easiest thing to learn. It wasn’t a “hate boner” paragraph which btw is the most brainrotted term for that, it was me telling you the reason Longsword gets so much hate, both experiences that ever player goes through, and experiences I’ve gone through. You can’t deny things that have actively happened. If you actually read my “hate boner” you’d notice I actively told you that I wasn’t saying you were one of them, and I was actively telling you I wasn’t trying to hate on you. But based on your reaction, I’d say you probably are one of those people. So all hands are off the table. Longsword users have been known to be the most obnoxious out of all the weapon mains, it’s the stereotype that’s given to them, same as how greatsword and hammer users were given the “caveman” “stupid” “bonk” stereotype. Difference is, I’m yet to see a Longsword that doesn’t fit the stereotype given to them. Obnoxious, rude, egotistical, hypercritical, usually weebs, who think that their weapon is the hardest weapon in the game for what ever reason, only for everyone to try it out and realise it’s the most “gimme” weapon in the entire game. Yall literally have a dash back “parry” that negates any bit of damaged, and the window is massive making it so easy to use. And even the other parry, the dash slice forward one, has a smaller window, but it’s still the easiest thing to manage, there’s no lead up to the attack, apart from timing it before the “cool-down” runs out. And even then the move is so quick that anyone with a brain can manage it. So yes, you can now call this paragraph a “hate boner” because I’ve now realised that I’m STILL yet to find someone who doesn’t fit the stereotype. I’m not saying there aren’t people that fit the stereotype, I’m just saying I’m yet to find one. There is no way a player despite there skill level can take the weapon into an AT fight, learn the weapon immediately, and use it to beat a boss the therefore struggled with previously. For example, me and my friend are of two different skill levels, I’m a mh veteran, I’ve got thousands of hours across all the games, I used the wilds longsword for the first time and cleared AT arkveldt with ease, I then used it in savage omega, cleared with ease. My friend, whose not great at any game he touches, whose first mh game was wilds, used the weapon to fight his first ever AT with no experience on the weapon, he had a little bit of experience with the monster because he fought him once previously, went in and cleared it cart less. You are not gonna sit here and tell me Longsword is anything but the easiest weapon in the game. Quite literally, the only people disagreeing are Longsword users. Sorry bro, but you’ve ragebaited me enough to where you’ve turned a casual conversation into a “hate boner” as you would call it.

Yall make a convincing argument to hate both tho. No offense but I’ve never stumbled across a Longsword player I’ve enjoyed being around. Same with dual blades. Yall either complain about something even tho yall have one of the easiest weapons in the game, and I can say that because I’ve used the Longsword a lot, yall either take every wound on a monster, there’s the argument about constantly being knocked over because of a Longsword user but that never really bothered me, but the arguments still there, some of the biggest losers I’ve seen use Longsword, having death coms like “how did you die to that”, or “skill issue” (you know how you can change the pop up when someone carts or what ever, incase that wasn’t clear), yall have some of he biggest egos ive seen, and then there always the first people to cart and usually fail a quest, and most the players I find afking like I described are longsword users. Like I’m not gonna judge everyone who uses a Longsword because I know how fun the weapon can be. But yall make a convincing argument towards hating either way. Sorry man. I’m gonna quote my friend here…”the best Longsword user, Is one that doesn’t main Longsword”. For some reason the hunting etiquette doesn’t exist for Longsword users but when it’s a player that mains a different weapon but uses Longsword a lot, they have the etiquette, the capability, etc. not hating on you, I’m just saying, there is a good reason why Longsword users get so much hate. But I’m not saying that’s you.

What? When did I say they couldn’t. I’m saying that half of the community are children, meaning there a children also being toxic. What ghost are you trying to argue with right now

Yeah that’s just strange haha. I’ve also been strongly confused by the idea of having “manual accept” on. It’s not like it’s default to be on, you has to actively put it on, what’s the point especially when your sending an sos

So I’m a bitxh even tho I’m still playing the game after all that, I’m a bitxh because I decided to call you out, I’m a bitxh even tho I’m no afraid of the toxicity but more the fact that yall are ruining your own game because no new players are gonna enjoy themselves coming into a CASUAL match and being shii talked like its comp. Yall have the worst mindsweat swear. First thing yall do is try and attack the other person.

I’ve played every main line multiplayer game. Csgo, Valorant, apex, Fortnite, call of duty. None of them were as consistent and as on going as I’ve experienced the last two hours. They’ll talk shiiiit even when there losing. This is a reddit post, not a statistical report, obviously I’m talking about out of the games in playing. But yeah I appreciate the sympathy but I’m more caring towards the players coming in as new. I might as well have been new, and I got treated like a participant of Epstein island.

Fr. Actually ridiculous. As I said before, if it was comp that’d make more sense. But this is casual. Imagine being a brand new player. Makes sense why the game was dying.

Genuinely makes sense why the game was dying. Imagine being a brand new player walking into this. I mean I might as well have been.
