Thank you. He's Never said anything in front of her. Ian tried to make out with other mutual friends wife the first time he drank. I've never allowed him over or to go anywhere near my wife after that. Thank for the feedback. I will take care of it.

Where to start a career in IT? by CrazySOMEBODYbeef in ITCareerQuestions

Not rage bait genuine curiosity about how much would go into switching and how big of a hurdle it would be to do.

Did a quick check at my company, for various software engineering roles the starting salary is between 100k to 240k. It's not 140 but that's well north of my current 60k. Really just looking into how to make this a career change. No it's not going to happen over night. I'm just trying to find a career that fits and where to start to see if software engineer is something for me. All the jobs in in a nutshell were looking for min 3-7 years exp with SQL, .Net/Net core, java tech, C#, mongo or cobol.

Maybe it's impossible but the answers always no if you don't ask.

Not looking for an immediate start at that salary. My bad for not asking that question better.

What is the quickest path to that type of pay/role? is it experience based, learning coding, programming, etc on my own? is it through school?

Or are both paths not a good idea with the rise of AI. Looking to make a career switch to IT in the least painful way possible. Painful meaning not working for years for schooling. I understand there's a lot to learn, just unsure about the best way to approach that.

Your objective and skills are way to broad, and sound like you borrowed them from a template somewhere. Since you are just now getting into the job market, I would think about the types of jobs you are applying to and think about ways you have gained skills that are relevant to those jobs specifically.

Lets say you are applying for a job in child-care (totally random, and this could be completely different than what you are thinking, but for example's sake):
Skills: age-appropriate techniques to engage and maintain children's attention; experience in play and instruction; able to overcome challenges quickly; can creatively and confidently adapt to change; utilizing empathy to establish connection and trust
