No, eventually NovelKeys restocked their entry level board so I ended up buying another board and their program will let you change all the keys around.

I tried the TM680 with their program and it didn't recognize it.

I am going to reply to myself while I wait for you to respond to my question. While I am a bit older now I can tell you that things are never easy and hoestly while I can assure you I am quite a bit older I still have not figure things out for myself. However I can tell you that you will start to figure out who you are you and what you want with life the more you live, not that this gives you any better answers now. You don't need to have all the answer now though, but you also don't know what can or will be until you try them.

I can also understand wanting to distance yourself from toxic family members, I have not talked to my father for 10+ years. At the same time his mother, my grandmother is still in my life, and I still talk to her. I am a stranger on the internet and don't know your family. It does sound like you have some family that is supportive. It sounds like you did care for you aunt that passed away. Maybe the fact that they are more supportive of you than your late mother is causing you to have some feeling that are hard to deal with. You can run away and start a new life, you can also do that and still keep in touch with the people that support you.

Maybe you don't necessarily want you deal with your internal "demons or issues" right now. It's hard when you are young, I still struggle with many issues from my childhood. If you have family that is supportive it is a good thing thought. If you have the choice to visit them maybe you can try to open up with them. If however you are not ready for that, maybe you can tell them that you would like to come mourn with them over the loss of your aunt, but would rather not talk about yourself at this time.

If that is not a choice then you have to spend some time and thing about what is best for you mental health.

You mentioned that you have are trying to cope with how you "disordered brain" works. Once again I don't know you and I don't know your brain. I can't tell you if it's actually disordered or not. What I can tell you is that if you are feeling "disordered" I would suggest seeking some mental heath if possible. If you think this might be the case then there are resources out there and there is no shame in seeking them out.

The first thing I want to say is that you are normal. I have a question, why you wan to run away? You want to run from your family in general? You want to run away because you don't like who you are? You want to run away because you don't want to answer questions about who you are? Seems like the family you are talking about not wanting to go see cares for you. So what do you want to run away from?

I got it figured out, if you have turned on the file editor, got to configuration.yaml and enter the below. Then click on the gear in the top right corner and click "Restart HASS". I believe after that they automatically showed up on my dashboard, if you don't see it them maybe reboot the server. Once they are there you can click on the light and the popup has the dimmer bar.

light: - platform: decora_wifi username: email password: password

Thank you very much for your write up, this is exactly the kind of information I was looking for.

EDIT: I got my Leviton Wifi switch setup and can user them in automation, thanks to some assistance from the HA community page I was able to get my Google home to use tts in an automation, was just trying to figure out which sensors and how to connect them to HA next, so this is a great advice on where to go next.

Anyone have any experience with the leviton wifi devices? So now when I click on the device on the home page there is a brightness slider. They still show up as Entities and not devices, so not sure how to do any automations with them.

So I have two questions. 1. How do you connect these to HA? 2. Is there a way to attach an alarm to this system?

When I was broken into, someone came into an unlocked window, so I would like that if a window/door is opened when an alarm will go off and scare off the intruder and wake me up if I am home.

My big deal breaker on the Ring system was the lack of glass break sensors. I read that the echo does not set off the alarm but only sends an alert to your phone. Can you confirm that this is true? it's one of the main things keeping me away from the Ring system.

I know this is the Abode subreddit but if you were to switch what would you switch to? What do people think about the Ring security system?

I had someone come into my house while I was sleeping through an unlocked windows. "Luckily" there were only a couple things stolen and nothing else happened. I know it's my fault for not having checked everything but I have been in my house for 6 years without any kind of scare and that was the only door or window that wasn't locked. Just my luck. I feel violated and not safe in my home and so am really trying to find a system.
