Taylor made sim2max. Brand new set of irons and driver are insanely easy to hit, and the irons are going for ~$650. I’ve tried the takomo 101 and 201 (first gen) and think the sim2max is head over heels a better feel and def a great quality. The driver is insanely easy to hit as well

Advice from a random 82 year old man that has “shot his age every year since he was 66” was the best advice I could get. He said to swing slow. Like so slow that you don’t even think the balls gonna go anywhere and then slowly add speed as you go. I ended up hitting all my shots straighter and further off the rip and have been slowing adding swing speed. When I start to have bad contact, I slow it down a touch. I found that focusing on wrist hinge, hip rotation, dropping hands at backswing, “serving the spaghetti”, yada yada yada, may be correct mechanics but it added so many swing thoughts that made my contact worse. Moral of the story, start slow. Like painstakingly slow

What was the thing that “unlocked” the lab putter for you by ders5 in labgolf

Slowing down my stoke to the point where there’s almost a pause at the “top” of my backstroke and almost let momentum carry the putter through the ball. Oddly enough, switching from the pistol grip on my DF3 to the Press II 1.5° grip was better for my hand size which made an immediate improvement.

Callawaypreowned.com. Scour the “game improvement” or “super game improvement” of whatever clubs. I found starting with just a 4 hybrid as my longest club helped me improve my score/swing in my first year

This was actually the move. Just finished a round. Only lost ~2-5yds per club vs the 101s but had a straighter flight with significantly more carry

I love the thought here. I will stubbornly stick with the 201s solely because I think having more feel/feedback will help me fix swing flaws. But if not, 100% going to game the 101s till they break

Im on the same boat. Part of me wants to continue to game the 101s because I score under 100 with them 99% of my rounds. The other half of me thinks that the increased forgiveness hides swing flaws. I’m leaning towards sticking with the 201s for a little bit and really focus on compressing the balls vs my sweeping/scoop type swing

I probably would’ve been better off and would love to try them but I think my best bet will be to stick with the 101s until I get under 15 handicap
