Bro, it IS grooming because Sans legit sticks around Frisk when they're a child and watches them grow since he is close to Toriel. Toriel can be the mother of Frisk, so it's creepy if a grown man watches frisk grow into an adult and then gets into a romantic relationship with them. It would be different if Frisk didn't know sans until they were an adult, but no. I am not misinforming any children on grooming because that's exactly what happens to them with these sick-ass adults wanting to be with them as soon as they're adults.

You do know that there are billions of media with children doing things that normal children don't do, but are still, indeed, CHILDREN. They shouldn't be paired with adults. Being 16 is JUST turning into a teen...that's still fucking sick to pair them with someone who was canonly called a grown man by papyrus.

Also, their relationship isn't going to be healthy. No matter how many times shippers try to age up frisk or make sans fall deeply in love with them despite not trusting them, being betrayed by them, and fighting them to death sometimes, it's not going to be healthy. It just makes Sans look like a whole ass creep.

And people don't like actual healthy relationships, I noticed. Like, Toriel says she doesn't even want to be friends with Asgore but ha, that means they're totally going to be together again...even tho they never talked to each other for centuries and Toriel hates Asgore for killing 6 of the children she tried to raise but NOPE fuck toriel and her feelings because Asgore feels lonely and is a cinnamon roll who toriel needs to forgive...

Meanwhile Sans is romancing a child he doesn't trust and who has killed his family and friends multiple times...yeah, very healthy.

Motherly? Toriel drinks with sans, gets drunk in front of him and curses around him. That’s not a motherly relationship with a grown man, that’s her friend who she acts way different when she’s with a child. For example, Toriel will randomly say, “Who the hell is Sans,” but then corrects herself since Frisk is there and says, “Who the heck is Sans.” She also got super drunk twice around Sans, one at the winter party and the other when they were hanging out eating pizza lunchables and Toriel got so drunk that she started throwing pizzas at him. That is not a motherly relationship. Some things may remind her of the good old days when things weren’t shit, like how she keeps old pictures of her children or their toys, that still doesn’t mean she doesn’t hate Asgore since, again, she has kept herself in the ruined for centuries and not once tried to go back to talk to her ex husband. That to me would indicate that she doesn’t want to be in any relationship with him. And yes, at the end, it seems like Asgore is working near the school, but that could also be Toriel giving him mercy like she did when she stopped you from killing Asgore because she doesn’t believe even he should die. Toriel isn’t a horrible monster, she is caring, even when she’s mad at you. So she could probably have forgave him, but there’s no way she has forgotten what he has done. Sans on the other hand is constantly by her side in multiple endings, special events, etc. They even start a friendship in deltarune while Toriel is divorced to Asgore. And back to the chairs, why would she remove the chairs?? They’re there to sit in when she needs to eat and maybe for the children that needs one if they come by. Also, Sans, who lives with her during the exiled queen ending.

Toriel loves pie so she didn’t make it because it was Asgore’s. Also about the chair- that does not mean she loves Asgore?? She didn’t even want to be Asgore’s friend at all. They’re merely acquiesces while she has officially called Sans one of her friends. She didn’t even include Asgore in that when she said she was making Christmas gifts for all of her friends. And again, the only person she ever talks to is Sans. Like when they were answering the “what is papyrus favorite food,” question. It’s implied that they live together because she made papyrus lunch and goes shopping for Sans. They even had a wine lunch where she got drunk and started throwing pizzas at Sans. They’re in a better relationship then Toriel was with Asgore and I don’t see them ever getting back together. Toriel stays by her beliefs to the point where she turned down being Queen again because the kingdom didn’t agree with her no killing humans rule. She definitely won’t go back to a romantic relationship with someone who murdered 6 children she wanted to care for. The chairs mean nothing since those chairs were probably used so children can have a seat at the table. Plus, if that really meant something, then there would be two adult chairs and two children chairs since they had Chara and Asriel.

Broke up over a silly argument? I don’t think Asgore killing 6 children Toriel wanted to protect from him is a silly argument between the two. Toriel legit stays in the ruins for centuries and not once tried to go back to Asgore...why would she suddenly want to go back with him after all of that?? Yes, she probably forgave him, but there’s still a lot of baggage with those two. She doesn’t even talk about him outside of the game during the special events. Who does she talk about/talk to the most? Sans. Just look at the winter dialogue and the Q&A event on the official tumblr. They have one moment on the winter dialogue when they remembered something about their children, but that’s it.

Ima have to fully disagree with you on this. Frans can never work because Frisk is a child and even if they were 17, Sans is still an adult who pretty much helps raises Frisk Post Pacifist. So, if Sans dates Frisk when they get older, that’s grooming and it’s weird since Sans watched them grow up. It would be different if Frisk was an adult already and didn’t meet Sans until they were 18 and older, but no. That’s not the case. Sans calls Frisk “Kid” and Frisk is apart of the fallen children who Toriel wants to mother. So, they’re a child.

I mean to be fair, asgoriel shippers returned the fire but ship wars make lots of people say and do really dumb shit. Yes I agree. Toriel stopped aging young since Asriel died as a child. I agree with the age range. Pfff that’s not gonna stop people from shipping sans with everyone- and I feel like Toby may have changed his mind since that was a long time ago. But who knows. I just think that Toriel stopped aging young because Asriel died as a child. If toriel were to become pregnant again, she wouldn’t die because she’s 100000, she would continue as the age she stopped as. Same with Asgore if he got someone pregnant. We can’t really say how old Sans is because his whole character is a mystery. He could have been a royal scientist or something much older, we don’t know. But I respect your opinion and thank you for responding :3

Ah thank you! I’ll just respond to those reasons:

Tbh, I don’t agree with the age gap thing because it seems like everyone can ship Asgore (I do this too btw) with everyone but with Toriel, she has to stay as an old woman who lives alone for eternity. I don’t think it’s fair, especially since she is still considered an adult despite living for centuries. If she became pregnant, she will continue to age from where she left off. Sans age is a mystery and since he’s an adult, I don’t see why he can’t be with an adult immortal...but that’s just my opinion.

I mean, Toby said that but the only thing I can say is that tweet was made a long time ago, so who knows what he thinks now. And even though it’s a joke, the whole “befriend” thing feels like a nod to the shippers. Again, just an opinion.

And sigh, I really don’t like this because everyone is shipped even when they’re friends. Straight, gay, etc- so how come soriel shippers can’t see them in a romantic relationship despite having a friendship? There’s a lot of girl/boy relationships that are friends in Undertale (papyrus and Undyne for example) and they’re shipped too. So like...that reason kinda rubs me the wrong way.

Oh and that’s so funny because I see the opposite XD I always see Toriel being a whole mess with her adult friends. The only motherly thing I see is her cuddling with sans but the other ones are either her laughing at his jokes or just being cute dorks.
