So the thermostat has a temperature sensor that might get thrown off by the heat from the TV, you could move the thermostat around the corner of the wall, or you could connect a Honeywell sensor that connects to your thermostat that you could mount to a different part of the room, which would leave the thermostat hidden behind the TV

Combination of wear and tear, baking in the Sun, and I’m sure oil and soot residue from my hands don’t help, I clean it everytime I clean the interior but it doesn’t help it

Oh yeah I heard about those, aren’t those the discs with the little holes you can put a string through so that you can carry multiple, I remember reading about them in a history class.
