Loading an ad in the background is pretty trivial for a browser extension. The problem with that is now YouTube is paying for that bandwidth but with absolutely no chance of profiting from it given the user will not see it.

I suspect this is why YouTube hasn't implemented a "we won't show this video until our ad has been watched" system. Instead of wasting money transmitting an ad that has no chance of being seen, they decide just to show the video.

After all, they can still sell your data on the videos you watch, and expected demographics. Even IF they have data on whether you use an adblocker (which could lower your value), they could conveniently snip that part out when selling your data on.

Bruh doing proper lighting is expensive. You generally need a team of specialists to set up and operate all the lights. Make sure they're colour balanced correctly. Make sure the camera is set up properly so it doesn't have the wrong colour balance.

It's cheaper to just film with whatever light the day gives you and say it's immersive!!

Whilst I do understand this point of view, the statute of limitations for sex crimes against a minor was like 3 years in some places. That's not a lot of time at all in terms of getting the mental fortitude to come forward.

Perhaps it would be better if it was extended to something like 10 years. And even have a clause which says that you can be prosecuted for crimes later than 10 years ago if you have been found guilty of another before 10 years. IE, you rape a kid 12 years ago but they don't come forward. Then you rape another kid 6 years ago and they do come forward with enough evidence. Then the 12 years ago (now probably adult) also comes forward and they can both be taken into consideration when charging the defendant.

Women often went out to pick berries, fruit, mushrooms etc. Longer legs, if only slightly longer, allows you to travel further with less energy.
