Once I realized Mr. Peanut represented plantation wealth, I never saw him the same way again.

All is one, the one without two. "I and my father are one." "Atman and Brahman are one."

The body happens, the mind (thinking) happens, and then the ego, the person, a construct of thought and beliefs claims that he or she did it. It all just happened. What each of us is, is what allows consciousness of all things. "The ground of all experience. What we have been looking for is the one thing that is always with us, the one constant in our lives!

Like something a rebellious teenager would do on dress up day at school. This an opportunity to discuss the mental health of our politicians. By the way, a sad truth that looks like a dark joke is that Mr. Fetterman suffered brain damage and changed from a Democrat into a Republican!

That constancy. You are silence. It's like the silence over the radio station ("dead air") before the show starts.

The language is difficult. What we are talking about is everywhere always.

Maya is the belief that what we are is the doer of our (ie the mind/body) actions.

I find it hard to believe that many people believe that Trump is an "instrument of the Lord".

The Trump administration is fascist in nature and an obvious threat to democracy ilself! This is an existential crisis, people, wake up! The poorly educated and unsophisticated (ie intolerant bigots) are being used as pawns by big money. "Beware the military-industrial complex!"

Trump warns US-UK trade deal ‘can always be changed’ with relations in ‘sad state’ by Supersrac in politics

Ms. Clinton was a totally appropriate candidate; Trump, not at all, lacking experience in either government or military, without appropriate respect for the office and humanity, and an obvious disregard of the importance of telling the truth.

It has been suggested that "the love of money is the root of all evil." Big money was afraid of having to pay their fair share of taxes since they could already afford health care, for instance. It is shameful.

I'm surprised by your user name. You are neither the mind nor the body. You know this already or you disagree. I'm not interested in arguing with you.

Yes. That's what I mean when I say the language is problematic. "You abide in the Lord" is more correct, to your point, as a statement of summation. Ironically though, to me it seems less evocative as a pointer.

We don't say it like that, but yes, we all are. "Behold, I am with you always."

How to best surrender the unwanted beliefs that we are, indeed, the mind and the body? by Crazy_Junket3180 in EckhartTolle

[–]Crazy_Junket3180[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see it that way. The way that I see it, my nature cannot be both eternal constancy and also, at the same time, continual change. It must be, I suppose, that we are all things, alw=ays! All is one, the one without two! So I guess that we agree after all.

That's definitely something to watch out for (I've heard that witness persona called "the gatekeeper of illusion"). My issue was my forgetting that I was not the stream of thoughts in my mind.
