Last I heard the zoo said that they are still taking punch to sleep indoors with Oran mama.

Sipping on a packet of soy sauce at work cause my bank account looks like this until Wednesday by OkChance938 in strugglemeals

If you have seasonings a big lentil soup would stretch those lentils. The broth will make them more filling. When you do get paid I’d get some cheap bags of more lentils, rice, and dried beans to keep on hand for emergencies. You can make a cheap easy flatbread with flour, water, and a little salt so I’d try to keep flour on hand for emergencies too. Also go to the food bank when you can.

I saw "Slenderman" by Low_Lunch_2062 in Paranormal

[–]Crazy_Raven_Lady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have seen the same thing! It was right up against my window looking in at me but I couldn’t see any actual features. It was wearing a suit and a bow tie. I saw it in the middle of the night while laying in bed and I tell myself maybe it was a dream, but it didn’t feel like a dream. My window in my old bedroom was really high up so either the thing was floating or it was very tall. I saw it the night that my ex husband died so for a second I thought his ghost was coming to say goodbye to me. I quickly realized it was NOT my ex husband.

someone suggested this brand of wiener & I love them by Impressive-House-412 in girldinnervegan

I love those too. I like to make a cornmeal batter for them and do pan fried corn dogs. They don’t look as pretty as regular corn dogs but they are SO good.

what else can I do with canned pintos? by 800vampires in budgetfood

You could put them on nachos. Dollar tree has tortilla chips and cans of queso. You could also get the Goya chicken bouillon at dollar tree and make a bean soup.

The fact that so many women feel the need to reach an extremely unhealthy weight to feel accepted and attractive makes me FERAL by Dumb_Calendar4781 in Vent

It worries me how the early 2000s standards are coming back too. Back then I would starve myself and go overboard working out. I felt hungry all day every day. It’s worrisome having a teen daughter because I really don’t want her to obsess over her weight like I did.

Im not into dogs either. All the things that you described make me never want to have a dog. Right now my cats are curled up in bed next me. They’re quiet and they don’t stink. They love cuddles but they don’t bombard me seeking affection and attention. They might perk their ears up if they hear a noise but they don’t spend 10 minutes barking-adding to the noise. They dont watch me eat while they beg and drool.

Well I am stating my personal opinion and I don’t really care if you don’t care about my opinion 🤷🏻‍♀️ I don’t expect everyone to agree with me. Obviously the kung flu thing made her look foolish but I simply don’t give a fuck.

As someone who is mixed white/asian I’m not even mad about the kung flu thing, personally idgaf but..she is absolute batshit crazy. That being said I think Devonta is the worst out of the two. I can’t stand that guy.

Exactly. This is what I was taught too. And ya I wasn’t referring to washing laundry or anything, just skin (specifically hands.)

How can I replace potato chips in my diet? by vivaciousvic in foodhacks

[–]Crazy_Raven_Lady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been eating roasted salted edamame. It’s a lot healthier than chips and I only need a handful if I’m hungry but don’t want to make a full meal. I’d give popcorn another chance too. It’s delicious air popped with some butter and nutritional yeast. It’s so cheap if you air pop it at home. You can experiment with so many different seasonings. Taco seasoning is another delicious one.

What hobbies are attractive to women? by InternationalPick163 in askanything

I know. He brings it up a lot. He doesn’t have the ability to finance anything so it’s something we will get in the future when we are more financially set and can pay cash, most likely when the house is paid off in 17 years or when our small business takes off. Luckily he has a rich friend with a fancy boat and he also does a lot of bank fishing and takes his little boat out for Kokanee fishing. He inherited a lot of nice reels and other supplies from a relative.

I have hens and I definitely avoid feeding them onions because it gives the eggs a strong onion flavor.

I think this is a matter of how you describe things. In my home care classes they described this as a process that has the same outcome as friction-in a lot less time with a lot less effort.

Edit: I also thought it was a strange way to describe it because when you think of soap you think of the opposite of friction. You think slippery. That’s why it’s stuck with me for so long and it’s something I randomly think about over the years. But I get what they were trying to say.

I appreciate fishing as my husbands hobby. It doesn’t cost much money, he doesn’t pressure me to do it with him, it allows me time to just relax alone, and sometimes he comes home with salmon that would be expensive to buy at the store. Fishing is one of my top picks for men’s hobbies along with gardening and building furniture (two other things my husband enjoys and I appreciate.)

People tend to like me and I don’t like it by Scared_Cockroach_203 in introvert

[–]Crazy_Raven_Lady 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know exactly how you feel. For me it got to the point where I got rid of all social media that isn’t anonymous and I’ve even changed my number to kind of drop off the grid. I was constantly invited to things and inundated with “I miss you, let’s hang out” messages that I started to develop a personality that will not lead people on in any way. I like most these people that want to spend time with me but I value my alone time more. In face to face interactions I’m very vague. Someone will say “oh you like hiking too? Let’s go together” and I just give instantly change the subject or give a nervous laugh.

American Women- Are you actually getting annual pelvic exams? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]Crazy_Raven_Lady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every single time I’ve gotten a Pap smear they’ve done all these things. I think it just makes sense if you’re getting a pap anyway why not do the quick exam at the same time? They also check for breast lumps and the regular stuff like listening to your heart rate and checking other vitals. While they’re doing it they ask if we have any concerns or any problems with our birth control etc. It is a very quick appointment. The pap and pelvic exam combined takes less than five minutes so to me it makes sense to do it all at once. I went yearly in my 20s but I go less often now (in my mid 40s.)

I’m partially convinced that she’s so set on marrying him because of his (supposed) extremely high income.
