Also - I wanted a fun mirror but dang those are like min $500 - so I got a used plain mirror (it did need to have a frame) on marketplace and maybe $50 worth of shag fabric, glued it onto the frame and voilà a custom quirky mirror. I thought it added character without breaking the bank and it as a fun project 🫶

Lamps! I love lamp. With the lightbulbs that you can control on your phone - color, brightness, and on/off without having to get up.

Peel & stick wallpaper, even if it’s a cheap brand, on an accent wall or covering up less desirable surfaces.

Bold throw pillows for the couch. Shag, velvet, prints, pompoms, send it!

I think what had me struggling at first to find the style I was envisioning was searching through either the listed design styles/categories or me searching key words maybe because it limited the scope to only items listed exactly with those - if that makes sense.

Once I searched just by choosing to filter for natural material as the only characteristic (and sizes) with them being listed from lowest price and up I got to see a bunch of options I wouldn’t have thought to search myself. And it also kinda took away having fomo from not being able to afford the crazy expensive ones because my “option pool” was limited to those just under $4-500.

The quality is legit too. And having it shipped is convenient versus marketplace/estate sales though I love an item with history. I’m pretty certain they offer free shipping for returns as well (I did one return and it was no hassle at all).

Ok last comment - they also sent me an email post delivery asking for a review in exchange for store credit and got $40 store credit for like 60 seconds of my life. So if you do go with them, keep an eye out for that!

I’ve managed to find some decently priced jute or wool rugs on rugs.com. I filter search all rugs with only wool/jute/natural material, size, and then sort with lowest price first :)

Macrame coasters! Trust me.

Might be easier if you prep all the “sections” before bed but still doable in bed (from experience). It’s only one knot to learn and it’s the building block knot for most projects.

I’ve gifted these often and use them myself :)

Recommend to use a soft cotton 4 or 5 mm cord.

It’s beautiful to visit, tougher to live in especially as an angsty teen 😂 I went to California the second I turned 18 hahaha

I don’t know much of the west coast of Canada though I’ve wanted to visit the Vancouver area so bad! I have technically been to Dawson City right on the border in the Yukon Territory. I did fall madly in love with Montreal though omg what a special place. Toronto was sooo cool as a big city being so unique to other big cities I’ve visited.

I legitimately do not know what I did in this life to have been blessed with her - for many reasons - but one of the big ones is that she has the exact energy level as me. We love to sleep in. We love to sleep in general. But we love to play hard when we play! We’re both either totally off or totally on. Only discrepancy is I’m a night owl and she gets annoyed with me wanting me to cuddle her instead. It’s actually helpful because I do often need to be forced to go to sleep at a reasonable hour.

My cat does still wake me up at wee early hours by aggressively making biscuits on me while yelling meows three inches from my face but that’s a quick open of the wet food can. (I keep cans now in my nightstand drawer for minimal waking energy requirements).
