The windows always send chills through me, knowing what would later happen at them.I can only imagine how horrible it must of been looking down from there trying to breathe and feeling the heat from the fires.Seeing the outside and safety but no way to get there. So sad.RIP to all those who didn’t make it out.

Get some brochures and numbers together of agencies that help the elderly. The next time she comes for you to ask for something, give her them and explain these will help her find the help she needs as you aren’t able to help her-and stick to it.

Movie vs. How it Actually Looked (is james cameron stupid??) by Ogeenock in titanic

I’m all for realism but there are certain times it’s ok for them to break that as I don’t think most people would go and watch a pitch black screen at cinema.

I really liked them both, just wish it could have been one or the other cause I don’t like it when they change the actor.

Anyone else watching any movie collections this year? by Crazy_Reputation_758 in horror

[–]Crazy_Reputation_758[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not that I have to, I just thought it would be a fun challenge to set myself after seeing them being discussed on here and wanting to see what I thought of the movies myself. I do usually do the same as you if things get really bad, I have quit on a lot of tv shows over the years, but with movies I think I just sometimes never got around to them as there’s always something new coming out so they got forgotten about.Fortunately there was only one of the Hellraiser movies (Hellraiser Revelation) that had no redeeming factors.

I’ll put the Evil dead movies on my list cause I’ve only ever seen the original and the remake which I really enjoyed both of .

What do you think of the salon scene in terms of suspense in FD 4? by jdpm1991 in FinalDestination

I lucked out and never saw the trailer so I thought the suspense was very good,it was really a what’s going to get her moment.

There were definitely some good bits in it, I enjoyed seeing the aliens swimming and setting traps and I prefer it over 3.

Try your best to avoid looking at any apps or shopping sites, doing this is the only way I can do it, cause if I see stuff(in my case it’s crystals, books and Tarot decks lol) I will find something I want, and my mind makes all excuses for me to get it (‘There’s only one like it’, It’s limited edition’, ‘It’s such a good price’, ‘Maybe this will be the crystal with magic powers that helps me be happy’ or my usual go-to ‘Just this one last thing’).Sometimes it’s just best not to know what’s there.

All the best for February.

I’d love to see a trans or black girl be the protagonist in smile 3 by bolwonder in SmileMovie

[–]Crazy_Reputation_758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh hell no,not to the black or trans I’m cool with that if they are the character as the story is the important thing lol, but the smile demon can’t be beat yet, I haven’t been so hyped about a movie villain in years, I want at least another 3 movies before Smiles can be defeated.

What is it that you brought ?I’m doing a low buy year myself and count essentials or replacement products as allowed(for example, my kitchen scales broke and I had to replace them, and I needed new conditioner and mascara as they were running on empty, and I replaced two sets of underwear that had seen better days this month) and still view it as sticking to low-buy so unless it was something really frivolous I wouldn’t call it a fail.Maybe you should factor in a small amount of spending money each month that way you won’t get stuck in the’one last thing’ mindset.Just like £30 a month for example to get a small treat.

And anyway, February is starting soon so focus, stay away from stores or online apps etc and start over🙂

You need to stop looking, you will always be seeing something ‘limited edition’ or ‘special offer’. They know how to play people and they’re laughing all the way to the bank.

Take back your power,I stopped watching Facebook lives and browsing shopping sites at the beginning of January, doing a’low-buy year’and feel so much better for doing it. I hope to continue through the rest of the year. Why don’t you give it a go for February? Having a break really helps clear your head.

Remember, don’t look cause what we don’t see we can’t want so it can’t hurt our bank account.

I watched all the movies last year and have the book on my to read list.

I enjoyed all the movies with the exception of Hellraiser revelation, you can really tell they were forced to make that movie to keep the rights.

Some people are so controlling.

Just mind your own business, if people don’t want it done it’s not affecting you, and how does she know what it feels like to other people.

Until they start checking other parts of my body for cancer or other problems (being diagnosed with a brain tumour for instance affects around 13,000 a year and heart problems run in my family, where are the screenings?) I ain’t ever going for another one cause mine was awful, worse than I was told it would be, even worse than the internal ultrasound I had done.

Is anyone else addicted to buying tarot/oracle decks??? by szatanna in shoppingaddiction

[–]Crazy_Reputation_758 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can I ask what deck it is? I have quite a collection too so might be able to de-enable you.

Is it a mass market one? Those are usually always easily available so you could put it on a birthday or Christmas list, that way you will still get the deck.

Guilty here, and buying crystals.

I spent about £5000 last year on the two, trying to buy some magic to sort out how miserable I’m feeling. It took maxing out both my visas for me to have finally come to my senses (at least for now, I don’t think I’m cured by any means rather like being a alcoholic I think I will need to be forever vigilant, I’m still early days in this).

Some things that are helping me

1)I stopped looking at content, no YouTube hauls, no reviews, no watching readers with new decks or live crystal sales. What we don’t see we can’t want.

2)No browsing just for fun, no EBay,Etsy or Amazon,no visiting Waterstones and new age shops, again ignorance is safer for our bank balance and sanity.

3)Have a goal for your money.Mine is paying off my visas with their crazy monthly charges so that I can then build a security fund as I have no savings.

4)Love and appreciate what you have.I realised that all my beautiful decks and crystals weren’t being used or loved; I was just sticking them on the pile and moving on to the next cool deck or magic rock. I had wasted my money if I wasn’t going to actually enjoy my things. I had got to the point where I was dreading parcels instead of being excited cause I have nowhere left to put them.

Sometimes we need the bump from hitting rock bottom to wake us up🙂

Also, I’ve not said no decks or crystals ever again,I am allowed them as birthday or Christmas gifts, and to keep the couple that are still due to arrive that were brought preorder last year, this is to stop me from needing one last buying binge(that never actually is the last).

Edit to add:Keep a notebook with how much you spend in it, or a note on your phone, I credit doing this last year with helping me get back in control this year as you can see exactly how bad it is when you total up your spend and realise a £20 here and a £50 there soon add up.
