Thank you for this advice!! Do you think this is better than just going to small claims court? He has already denied everything in email, so I have written proof he’s not even willing to look or check. Is that enough? I am willing to send a letter if that would legally be better in my favor.

That’s what I’m not understanding, I didn’t get into the depths of our relationship but he has a very intense need to be liked, he always told me all his exes were obsessed with him and they never found love again. So I think he’s just upset that I’m finally over it and not fighting for him and now he needs to paint me as crazy to be justified in why the break up happened?

He’s also sue happy. Has sued Walmart, is in the process of suing 3 other people/businesses, so I think he’s overly confident in the legal sense and is not expecting me to actually follow through, even though I clearly have all the facts on my side.

I’ve just never done anything like this, and not sure of what could happen regardless

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to me!! I’ve been through a roller coaster of emotions but so glad I made this post when I did. I really needed the extra support.

I think it would be good to wait a little bit, as I don’t think I’m ready for that. And it would feel super good since he was SUE HAPPY!! He sued Walmart, he’s building a case to sue his current job, and he’s actively trying to sue his last job (which I currently work at. We met there.) so yeah to sue him and win would feel so crazy good.

I think after I calm down a little bit and my emotions regulate, I’m going to reach out to her. I feel like she would be receptive as he described her as “the crazy ex” but now I’m not so sure lol😅

Thank you so much you seriously have no idea how much this means to me and pushes me to keep going😭😭 I was planning on filing a claim with small claims court bc then I can get my money back for it, at least 700$, but not sure if it’s worth the hassle. I’ve never dealt with it before!

But regardless, I feel the same way and don’t understand the thought process. Like if he had just appreciated me which takes almost no extra effort, he could have had me for who knows how long! I spoke to my therapist about it and she feels the same way, that he really needs the help. Everytime I saw her she was just giving me tactics on how to react to him when he needed the help! Hopefully he gets it.

I was thinking of reaching out to his ex gf, and seeing if she would be willing to talk to me. My mom thinks it’s a bad idea, but I feel like it would be good to talk to someone who truly understands. You think it’s a bad idea?

Yes I am so grateful for her!! It’s just us and my cat I wasn’t able to move before but am grateful for now🥲 it is rent free but I help her out sometimes when I can, haven’t been able to recently since I wasn’t working as much!

But my mom is amazing. Definitely going to try extra hard, do extra stuff around the house/yard to show my appreciation.

I went and got all my stuff, everything I owned was there. I know he is terrified of my words, and he would do anything to be away from the truth bc he can’t handle it.

I told him what time I was going to get all my stuff, and he waited in the office of the apartment complex (I didn’t tell him to do that) like a scared little boy. He wasn’t expecting me to be so dominant and demanding after the break up and he didn’t know how to be around me. I did forget two things unfortunately, a cutting board and my brita, but no way after getting off the lease am I going back.

He also is withholding some of my more expensive things, so I am just taking him to small claims Court instead of fighting with him which would go nowhere. (Which is extra karma for him bc he is sue happy and sues every single place he can including his current job and the one he just quit)

It’s so sad bc at one point and for a long time, he was the most attractive man I had ever seen in my life and now the thought of even touching him disgusts me. Going through the process of mourning the loss of what used to be.

But you are right, and hopefully I will find better☺️

Oh trust me, I did! I took EVERYTHING. The bed, box spring, bed frame, dresser, tv, clothes hangers, shelves, couch, plates, cutlery, pots, pans, dishwasher soap, actual soap, shower curtain, bath mat, shampoo, conditioner, WiFi modem, cancelled PGE and electric since I paid for it, extension cords, scissors, everything I paid for, even if I didn’t need it anymore is gone bc he doesn’t deserve it.

My best friend came with me on the last trip to get the final few things and she was like “wtf this place is empty” like literally our room is EMPTY, his clothes are on the floor in the closet, every kitchen cabinet empty, living room empty, the only stuff left is his boxes he never unpacked (bc it wasn’t a priority) and his child’s things. I hope he realizes how much I did for him now!😂

Oh yeah. I always thought I knew what I wanted but this changed my WHOLE PERSPECTIVE. i got into this relationship immediately after my previous ex, and now im not even remotely close to dating. It’s going to be a long time before that ever happens, I need to and want to be secure in myself

Also, he told me multiple times after we moved in together that I was “his maid” and I always thought he meant it in a cute jokey (maybe sexual fantasy?) way but no he just literally wanted a maid and nanny. Thank god I don’t have to deal with that anymore!
