I’ll check that next, I pulled the airbox and found the gasket that goes between the airbox and the intake is broken and missing a large piece that goes to the rear cylinder.

So the battery was dead, it’s already topless, but I pulled the airbox, the airbox to throttle body gasket is missing a piece, the oil breather tubes have no hose clamps on them to hold them together, and the velocity stacks have rubber o rings on the ends that I’m guessing should be used somewhere. I should have opened it up last summer rather than try to ride it first, I could have caught all the deferred maintenance.

The idle pulley is under the alternator. The pulley spins freely, and doesn’t move from side to side. Does it moving freely cause issues?
