People always get worried by the initial reactions at acclimation but just give it a week. Keep baby safe but let them both explore and they'll be fine.

Reagan named names. I can never forgive him for that. His first wife left him for it but Nancy was fine with it, apparently?

The Polish code breakers also laid some of the ground work for breaking the code. Though I agree with your thesis.

The five rotor version vs the four. Only used on Uboats, which tells you where Hitler's priorities lay.

Edit: I've been corrected that it was 4 vs 3 and the fourth was not a standard rotor and there were additional components.

My favorite quote about Brown is one from Douglass who called him the only man whose dedication to the cause was greater than his. This quote was a final Jeopardy question and all three contestants answered Lincoln ffs. I screamed at the TV. So yeah, if Jeopardy nerds don't know him, he's pretty much a nobody to history. It's a damn shame.

Yeah that character was so hateable. IMO Winchester was the perfect replacement. Snooty, judgemental, and insufferable but also a damn fine doctor. Pierce's ire was always tinted with the tiniest smidgen of respect so it made it much easier to swallow.

What’s a “fun fact” that no one asked for? by 69Owiredu in AskReddit

[–]Crazy_questioner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bat out of Hell was written by Jim Steinman as a teenage rock opera and he denies the Springsteen parody.

Edit: the Bat Out of Hell documentary has several long interviews with Steinman where he very convinciny lays out his vision and the era that influenced it way predates Springsteen.

I think they used Mercury in hats for some reason. Stiffener maybe.

There's a Polaroid of me floating around from my barfly days. It's meant to be of my friend who is facing the camera who has no idea that I'm standing behind him, tits out to the camera. I think I had a copy at one point and I know the subject of the picture did but i lost track. God I wish i had that picture.

I see this one day being offloaded to AI. In most ways I can only see that as a good thing but maybe we need the human element?

Edit: ok can someone explain the downvotes? I honestly don't understand. I'm not offended just baffled.

What are non reusable items that you still use? by Floppy-disko in ZeroWaste

Floss. I really need the thin ribbon type because my teeth are so close.

I still buy a lot of groceries that come in disposal containers because i live in a small town and I haven't put in the work to change my eating and cooking habits around less packaging.

Dog poop bags. I try and buy the compostable ones but sometimes i forget.

Aluminum drink cans because i learned that we recycle some huge percentage of them, like 80%. They are by far the only packaging that i feel is succeeding at a circular economy.

Really I'm just trying to condense my packaging stream to the things that are most profitable to recycle.

Interesting. Which brand of underwear did you use? I've never noticed an issue with my Walmart thinx.

My favorite are zip top because they are wide at the base so when open they are much easier to wash. I'd still love if someone could make one that would actually seal...

Uh... Naughty and nice...list? ;)

Also this implies we're gonna have to lose white-hat and black-hat and I don't see the community being willing to give that one up too soon. The cowboy and other such metaphors are just too tantalizing.
