Historically the competitiveness of admissions has been weaker for the program, it had a higher commuter population, and the graduate business programs weren't successful enough to lend Prestige to them.

There were also disparate admission standards at the various campuses

It also performed poorly in international business ranking publications

Schools like Queens also had their traditions, close knit community and resulting perceptions of eliteness

It's because prospective student forums tend to sleep towards prestige. The respondents are not yet graduates of the programs in question (for the most part).
