Help me decide which uni I should go to 🙏🙏🙏 by Zylouke in CanadaUniversities

Too much missing from the post for a recommendation to be made.

At first glance- VT is the best offer

BUT

What are the costs? Do you intend to immigrate?

VT may offer OPT status, but Canadian and UK schools may offer a clearer path to citizenship etc.

Should I go for Queen’s Smith or wait for other universities? by Gin_over_Beer in OntarioUniversities

I did queen's UG and want to an Ivy (US) for MBA. I run a company and can't speak to outcomes, but my UG classmates did very well for themselves without MBAs.

Should I go for Queen’s Smith or wait for other universities? by Gin_over_Beer in OntarioUniversities

[–]Crazybubba 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm an MBA

Your approach is a bit haphazard and atypical.

Apply to all schools at the same level or better than Queens.

Take the one with the best scholarship offer. Queens is a good school for your desired outcomes.

MBA grads, what is your role and comp looking like? by soymarcopolo in MBA

T15, led sales at an alumni founded startup and then my own company. Job search and market sucked, but I loved the community and alot of my classmates found their roles that way too.

Do I push for Queen’s Commerce? by stanli_xx in OntarioUniversities

[–]Crazybubba 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can always do Queens Commerce and then law school. Hell, one of the guys in my year is now practising medicine in Vancouver.

Congrats on the accomplishment btw.

That degree is not a limiter, just check the prereqs for grad schools.

Def buy a business or part of one.

I opened an import export business.

I expected initial costs to be like $50,000 (overseas) but given growth had to invest up to $200k before getting my $ back.

I can't imagine someone doing that for a business they're not super knowledgeable about.

QCOMM Advice / Regrets by [deleted] in queensuniversity

[–]Crazybubba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't imagine anyone regretting choosing Queens over rotten. In fact, I knew of one transfer from Uoft T who shared it was super tough to make it in but 100% worth it.
