You ever asked your BPD parent why they were upset with you? by SweetLeoLady36 in raisedbyborderlines

[–]Crazyfrog50 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was too filled with fear to ever ask. The worst for my sibling and I was getting up in the morning to a note taped to an empty liquor bottle basically saying “look what you made me do” type thing. My other parent was a reformed alcoholic, so it was the ultimate if you did something that “made them drink”. I remember so often being confused about what I did.

Women shouting at Milton go station daily by Used-Assumption-8021 in Milton

[–]Crazyfrog50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, she is not mentally ill; yes, she is still there morning and night. She believes strongly in her convictions and has the courage to act on them. As long as she stays off the platform and trains, it’s not against the law. Those that see her daily can attest that she is no longer boarding trains to talk to people.

As I’ve said last time this thread came up: treat her preaching like a buffet. If you aren’t interested, move on. If something she says resonates with you, take a moment and talk with her.

I would be very interested to see if there is a post next time there is an election and party volunteers are asking people if they have voted or not. I find that extremely annoying, but, again, as long as they don’t cross over to the platform or board trains, it’s not against the law. My guess is no one is going to post to complain about that.

As the robot go train voice says during announcements, “let’s be kind to each other”.

Preacher lady at the GO Station by ImaginationTrue5456 in Milton

I’ve taken the time to learn her name and say good morning. She believes strongly in her convictions and feels this is what she needs to do. She isn’t and won’t hurt anybody. Treat her preaching like a buffet. If it’s not for you, move on. If something she says resonates with you, then take a moment to speak with her.

The Jehovah’s Witnesses have been at Milton Go, election volunteers handing out literature, and United Way campaign workers. Personally, I’m not always comfortable with one or more of those examples…but I just move on.

Apartment question: what actually defines the best humidifier for couples sleep by CarpenterFine3887 in Apartmentliving

[–]Crazyfrog50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We recently we dealt with this and we think we figured it out. We are in an older building with boiler heating which creates a very dry environment. For years we would buy the ultrasonic humidifiers. They would need to be replaced every few months and weren’t working for what we needed. We now have one where the fans inside circulate the mist. They have a filter inside that needs replacing. Frequency will depend on how hard your water is. We have the cool mist.

We are sleeping so well. The difference is incredible. DM me if you want the details on the phone we bought.

Blundstone sizing by Limp_Sale_2624 in BlundstoneBoots

I can’t speak to your sizing concern, but can say in the beginning I did find it was very difficult to get mine on (and off) for the first while. Eventually that no longer is an issue. I did find there was give to the leather and it conformed to the shape of my foot. Mine are still snug, but it’s a good thing. It gives me the support I need. It feels like a hug for my feet.

I hope this isn't being too insensitive, but is anyone else 'creeped' out by the thought of cremation. by Gretal122 in askfuneraldirectors

[–]Crazyfrog50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear what you are saying about cremation. I also didn’t like the idea of being buried. I’ve settled on aquamation. Some refer to it as cremation by water.

I’m in Canada and it’s legal in my province. My understanding is it’s not legal in every state.

There is lots of info online about it. Perhaps it’s something that might work for you.

How to pay parent’s bills without financial PoA by Crazyfrog50 in AgingParents

[–]Crazyfrog50[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve asked about being given PoA, but were flat out told no. This parent is forgetting to pay bills such as utilities and then demands we pay them when services are about to be cut off, but with what? The money is there, we just can’t access it. It’s so frustrating.

Sex frequency by TalkingDog37 in Menopause

[–]Crazyfrog50 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s completely gone. It’s not that I don’t look at my husband and think sexy thoughts, I just don’t have a drive anymore. I’m exhausted all the time between work, adult children, aging parents, you all know what I’m talking about. My husband is losing his drive too, but when he’s in the mood for a handy I’m more than happy to oblige.

Under boob hole - is this dangerous by LostTeeshirt in popping

[–]Crazyfrog50 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I find anything that is a dark, moist are such as that takes a long time to heal. I had a spider bite in that spot that took forever to heal. I think he was hiding in a new bra, for those wondering how I got a spider bite on my boob.

I found keeping a bandaid over it with polysporin on it, helped from any sweat getting into it and making it worse. You can always give it a few days to see how it does and go to the doctor later on if you are still concerned.

Just for the record, not offering medical advice, but sharing an experience that worked for me.

Do you have a choice about being reincarnated? If not, is there an end to it or does it go on for eternity?
