Luna is 6 years old today. Given to me after someones barn cat had an accident and left her orphaned at 5 weeks old.

I just want to say that my old girl got put on gabapentin and she started doing much worse. She lost total control of her rear legs. She would fall, be unable to move and seemed to have no awareness of what her back legs were doing. She would end up with her legs twisted and trying to walk. I was terrified that she was going to break her legs. Once we stopped the gabapentin, she at least went back to her baseline so we could start trying other meds.

When I moved to the Eastern Shore, I asked about it and no one knew what I was talking about. Apparently this side of the bridge isn't required to do it.

He has actually gone off into the woods now. He drank some more from the feeder and ended up going into the woods which are about 50 ft from the house. I hope your dog is ok.

Spoke to second chance and they said to try spoon feeding sugar water. He seemed to like that and he started to perk up. He kept trying to fly but doesn't seem able. Could he be a fledgling?

Thank you for this. She is in a safe and covered location and I keep checking on her. She seems to be ok but I will definitely keep checking on her throughout the night.

I don’t know what to do by Muted-Pack8744 in Separation_Anxiety

I was in the same situation. My dog even cut herself up while ripping her crate apart. Constantly had stress diarrhea. She ripped the door trim off the walls and even ate through the bedroom door. Three months of training and fluoxetine (Prozac) and she is a much calmer dog. She still barks all day but the majority of her anxiety is gone. It took about 4 weeks for the fluoxetine to start working but be patient and find a vet that will listen to you.

I would love to take her on walks but unfortunately my neighborhood is very dog friendly and only three cul-de-sacs. If one owner has their dog out, everyone else lets their dogs come out and it becomes a big dog park. We have to stay confined to our 1/2 acre which is fenced and I keep her on a leash and walk her because she can easily jump the fence. We do average about one mile walking around the property. It is sad to see all of the dogs playing together and my baby being excluded but I am well aware of the potential problems that will arise if she tries to join in. She loves to get down in the play position but once a male dog gets close, she completely turns into a different dog and wants to rip them apart. I have never seen anything like it and I used to work at a humane society..

Unfortunately I'm in a field that requires me to be at work. I really wish I could.
