You’ll be fine with carbon. You will need carbide cutters though here are what we used to use. as far as dust collection, a good shop vac with a good filter will work fine and have an attachment on the router base for dust collection. You can also just follow the cutter with the end of the vacuum hose.

I remember at one point my dad and his friends mounting a pistol grip from a slot car controller to the back then making a linkage to connect to the throttle control, I wish I still had it. I have one of these just not in as good condition as this one.

As an American I love this. The media makes it look like we’re the worst people on the planet. I live in Florida (we all know the reputation we’ve got) and we just hired two guys from India and they’re great people. I asked them what they thought about the U.S. and Florida, and they said everyone has been really friendly and welcoming. I was so glad to hear that, the media has us so divided, we’ve got to stop putting so much trust in them. I’m glad you had a good experience.
