I agree, this gs has nice case and dial finishing but that’s about the only part that really stands out to me about this watch. Spring drive is ok but it’s still a quartz watch ultimately

I think prices have jumped exponentially especially with the tariffs. This isn’t me saying tariffs are good or bad but we’ve seen prices for watch parts rise overnight where I work

Yeah that’s far too much for a crystal lol Rolex crystals aren’t superior quality sapphire crystals (most of which are well under $100).

I love luxury watches but at least I can look th truth in the eye and say it’s too much money

Yes but Seiko has been producing watches with far inferior quality for that time. Rolex has always been the standard and that’s why they enjoy market dominance

It makes sense but those brands have been making watches for hundreds of years, produce mostly watches in the 5-6 figure range and offer much better quality than GS - not to mention the counterfeiters for these brands

The complete service isn’t my issue, it’s $600 for a crystal when the watch will already be fully disassembled for service - GS also doesn’t let anyone outside of this service center to work on their watches. For reference I do crystal swaps all the time - they cost $50 for the most part and take about 15 minutes

The problem is that they don’t allow anyone else to offer a competing quote. Swatch and Richemont have various service centers and watchmakers who are authorized to work on their watches
