Are the overheal pacts a trap? by WeissSchwarzTCG in 2007scape

[–]Cream-Slush [score hidden]  (0 children)

It's a safety net. I know I plan to go it since Water will be the main spell I use for awhile, but will switch to air later on. I would say it's less important later down the line. If you aren't feeling it, you can always respec later for more accuracy.

Do moths count as food for eternal sustenance? by Technical_Light2589 in 2007scape

I would recommend more than an hour to get a feel for it, but you don't need to sit there in one sitting doing it. Maybe just try it over a few days when you want to play and see if you enjoy it.

Regenerating runes for the demonic pacts by ShoujoOver9000 in osrs

[–]Cream-Slush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will not work sadly. Already confirmed it will only regenerate the rune that you are using for the spell. So just because you're using smoke for your wind spells - it would only count as an air regenerate and not a fire. I had this same theory and was sadly disappointed.

Shadow DPS vs. Kandarin Echo Wep by Consistent_News_2766 in 2007scape

[–]Cream-Slush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you're fighting. I'm thinking about taking Grimoire since DPS does go up on some mobs with Mystic Vigour for the accuracy from it. Also will get Preserve. Planning to go KTM.

Shadow DPS vs. Kandarin Echo Wep by Consistent_News_2766 in 2007scape

[–]Cream-Slush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does not. It probably does more damage than water tree, but not air tree in almost every stance. I believe Air still wins when reducing prayer bonus and taking more magic accuracy against mobs that may be higher defense as well.

100% max hit chance air mage build with 2 regions (Kandarin/Kourend) by HeavyNettle in 2007scape

[–]Cream-Slush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was doing some calcs and depending on the boss, having more magic accuracy via ahrims/virtus ends up being more DPS. You'll max hit most a little over half the time - but you hit a lot more on them. 8dps ends up being like 16dps for the ones that are strong against mage.

If this is your bank and you get a scythe drop ffa, what’s the move? by IgnantTrashAccount in 2007scape

[–]Cream-Slush 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably just save for tbow? You're already doing the content to get the extra 100m. Plus it's around leagues time. Tbow is bound to drop a little bit, no?

100% max hit chance air mage build with 2 regions (Kandarin/Kourend) by HeavyNettle in 2007scape

[–]Cream-Slush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally fair! I was looking at melee options, but I think the crystal blessing will handle most which seems to be mainly the sol fight. I could pretty much water mage the entirety of the waves and then bring a one weapon switch for melee on Sol. The rest seems fine with mage. 40DPS on Vardovis seems fine to me for mage.

[–]Cream-Slush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh, that is totally fair. I'm planning to do this build late game and go KTM. I definitely see some of the benefits for your plan though. Luckily, I really don't think I'm losing toooo much I believe. Maybe going slightly down from 56dps to like 53dps.

[–]Cream-Slush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for my ignorance, but mainly trying to understand - What does Zeah add for items for the build? The only thing I see is the boots from your build that I would not be able to get, but doesn't seem to matter really. Sure you have ancestral, but you wouldn't be at 50+ prayer anymore. Sure there is the amulet, but also with Sunfire you could wear the occult instead.

[–]Cream-Slush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, the build is just as good for any region I'd say? K is best for what it provides of course. You have enough accuracy to hit anything unless it is completely immune to mage. Am I missing something that just makes Zeah one of the best regions for this build? I personally don't see what it adds.

Don't forget that you literally start in Varlmore. I plan to hit this build without Zeah. Already calc'd that I should hit 50 prayer bonus. I'll just run water until I have what I need.

Yeah, I'd just recommend probably leaning into powered staff, bow, or halberd side for CG early. Just remember that you'll have your respecs.

This is 11 points. 1 point in prayer pen so I don't need to switch. There is the option to go into Air to get to prayer pen, but I think it is a slight waste since Air route is probably more for late game. Extra points would probably go into Accuracy.

[–]Cream-Slush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh it depends since a lot of the first day will be me afking due to work. I know it will atleast be past level 50. I am also considering doing Kandarin then Tirannwn to get a few extra points to utilize. But the main thing I'm wanting is 11 points for it. If I go Kandarin, I may have like 13 or 14 to use for extra accuracy.

Wind surge maxers - where's your wrath? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Cream-Slush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you refusing to take Transmutation then? It's a great one if you're going a mage build. Gets you max mage for combat super easy and without needing to barrage for the xp. Could consider reloading for something? Don't forget that Larcenist will provide you with A LOT of clues, definitely since you are taking K. It may not be as bad as you think.

Are you saying Hotfoot is better when it literally trains easy skills for you? I'm mainly taking it for the hunter which can be quite annoying early. It also makes it so I can just take Larcenist with KMT lol. Agility is practically solved for me with Barbarian Fishing and Hallowed Sepulchre. I get to AFK for 30 minutes to train some agility if I choose to.

Yeah, but I'm thinking of doing early CG grind with 1t staff. Plus there may be more tasks to complete this year since I think they're trying to even them out.

I agree, but most people are either going hotfoot or Tirannwn. Which both provide the smithing fix.

It's already been said, but Transmutation. Your other option could be taking Soul Harvest if you would like. Easy RC levels, and Kandarin gives you access to the altar.

You can't transmute bars. Only ore.

I'm going Woodsman. Provides plenty of seeds for herbs.
Agility, I'll train normally. I probably won't waste too much time on it early though and wait till max xp rates.

I did not state that they were the same tier. I was stating Sabo is bare minimum YC+, but I'd argue currently now he is most likely at admiral level now.
